Lost a patch of hair and never got it back

    Hi Guys

I had reasonably good hair until 7 years ago. During a 4 month period i lost a lot of my hair on top of the head and never got it back

I am using lazer comb for 6 months but dosent seem to help much.

Really looking for an advice here. I would like to go for hair transplant but dont know how much it cost.

You have been losing hair for 7 years and have diffuse thinning all over the top of your head. At this point you need to get on proven treatments if you want to stop or at the very least slow down your hair loss. Get on minox, fin, and nizoral right away. You don't really have time to mess around with unproven stuff.

      Thanks Notcoolanymore.

I am really looking at the possibility of hair transplant. Will it work in my case. If it does then i will def go for it.

You're not a candidate for a hair transplant.

You have to try medications first anyway.

I am not challenging your statement, but why is he not a candidate? Is it because only recession can be fixed? Is it more difficult/impossible to add density?

          Thanks in advance.

It's because he's more prone to shockloss for the surrounding remaining hair.

And even if he did and had no shockloss, he would continue to lose his hair afterwards.

The quick fix may be propecia and rogaine. It seems you are still catching things pretty early so you may be successful in gaining back that bulk you lost on top.

                  Good luck!
