    20, receding, should I buzz?

    Hi Guys.
I'm 20 years old and wondering if all you have been through hair loss before could give me some advice on what I should do.
My hairline has got worse over the last year. I like to keep my hair short, but I'm not sure if its got to the point where I NEED to buzz, or can I still cope with keeping it short (short back and sides and cut short at top) as still at college.
Attached are some pics of the damage.

Just incase some people ask: not looking for advice on supplements, hair transplants etc, happy to go bald just need advice on the timing.

    Thanks

If you were going to treat your hair loss with a topical, then I would say yes buzz it. Since you are not I will just tell you to look in the mirror. That is what I had to do. When my hair receded to the point where I could not style it the way I wanted to I just said screw it and buzzed it off. Hard for me to tell from the picture you posted, but you may be able to pull certain styles off. It comes down to you being comfortable with your hair style. If you are happy with the way you look now, great, if not then try something new.

Buzzing on a 0 or 1 guard looks better many times but I agree its hard to tell from that one pic. I buzzed my hair a lot even when I was in my 20s and had no hair loss and it never affected me socially. I Still buzz it now sometimes. I usually do a 0 or 1'on sides and then fade to a 2 or 3 on top. My hair loss is frontal for the most part.
