Do you think rogaine would work well on me?

Got some thinning on top (more so on the crown). My hairline is about a NW 1.5 maybe.

This is under very bright light

possibly yes, but that depends if you're really thinning or if it's just lighting.

    If you're thinning, yup.

If not, nope. Won't grow magic new hair. May make the hair thicker, but ya.

Looks a little thin in the crown. You could possibly grow a good amount back on minoxidil. Your concern is that you don't want it to get worse. With minox it seems things will always get a little worse before they get better. If you can handle a shed then I would say go for it.

I think this could just be lighting. The thing to remember is that hair grows different at the crown and on top of your head. On the sides and back--the permanent area where we don't bald--the hair grows at an angle more parallelto the head. But on top, the angulation of the follicles stands the hair up at a more perpendicular angle. So when your hair is short and under light, you'll see a decent amount of scalp even at full density. It can freak people out without realizing that it's normal. That being said, it can make it difficult to realize when actual MPB has begun.
