    Dutasteride question

    Hello, Everyone:

I am 38 Year old male. Been on Propecia for 12+ Years and started to apply Rogaine 2 Years ago. I think I am NW4 with hairloss primarily in the frontal area.

I want to regain hair using med. Please suggest if I should consider Dutasteride. Here are my questions:

    (1) What is Dutasteride? (active ingredient in each tablet, brand, etc.)
    (2) What is the best way to transition from Propecia to Dutasteride?
    (3) Risk of side effects? I have none so far on Propecia.

    Thanks.

Hey dude, iv been on duta for 10 years and it worked wonders, but now it stopped working. anyway, duta blocks alfa reductasa a and b while fin only b.
just move on to duta right away, one pill a day. i had NO side effects.

Might be worth giving Dutasteride a try. However there is no data with any DHT blocker that describes effectiveness in the frontal area, only mid scalp and crown.
