    Need advice/help

Recently I've noticed my hair has started receding at the temples and this kinda frightened me. I'm currently 19, 20 in 6 months and the receding seems kind of sudden, and somewhat unexpected. I've always had thick hair and when having it cut the barber always had to use thinning scissors (they did in my last hair cut), due to the barber using the thinning scissors I'm not 100% sure how thick my hair actually is now. My crown is still in tact and doesn't seem to be affected as of yet - touch wood. So now I'm considering using a product to try to stop the hair loss and stimulate regrowth. The back of my head is in bad condition with dead skin, so I was wondering will the product affect that? Also Being at the age of 19, is it a bad idea to start using the product. The product is Lipogaine for Men. However does anyone have any alternative products or is this product a good choice. Below i've added some pictures of my current hairline.

    Thankyou.

Hard to say if it's thinning based on these pictures, but if you're interested in keeping your hair you should entertain the idea of visiting a dermatologist who is competent in regards to Male Patterned Baldness.

As for treatment options, the all-natural stuff is a joke. There is only a few accepted treatments on the market called "The Big 3". They require continued use as long as you want to keep your hair. There are experimental treatments as well, but they are considerably harder to get a hold of and demanding in preparation and application.

Start with seeing a professional to make sure your thinning isn't due to something besides MPB, but keep in mind MPB is very common - so you shouldn't be too surprised if it is MPB.

Best regards. Let us know how every thing goes. There are a lot of intelligent, helpful people on this site that want to help (along with a bunch of salty, bald trolls as well, unfortunately).

      I agree with big thinker.

I cant tell if you have permanent male pattern baldness but to me it looks like you probably do.

See your doctor or a dermatologist and ask them about finasteride, minoxodil and there is a third one I dont know what it is

      hope this helps

I'm sorry but **** the natural treatments. Stuff doesn't work at all, just gives you false hopes and waste of time. Fin is what you should start of with, don't use rogaine on the temples on less your going to use it forever.

Thanks for the tip. I went to the site.

It had nothing to do with male pattern baldness. In fact, they raved about the very few Hollywood men who look good bald . Bruce Willis, Vin Desiel and other men who have 50 other things going for them to make up for the fact they are bald.

But for us mere mortals who are not internationally famous multi millionares in fantastic shape, there didnt seem to be much there for us.

It looked like a site for women to find ways to strengthen their hair.

That was my experience with the site

dont use rogaine unless you're going to use it forever

use rogaine as long as you want to keep the temple hair ,if you stop it then you loose what you've gained

that's what you want to say?
