What do you think ? Probably 30-40% survived, right ?

Yeah i'd say around that. Thanks for the photos. How many did you get transplanted in total?

1600. Filled up both temples, lowered the hairline and added some density to the area between the temples.

I'm at 3 weeks now and I'd say when I wash my hair I tend to lose around 5-10 hairs (daily). Although it's hard to tell with all the shampoo etc.

Yeah, the 3 weeks was when the shedding really started to kick in ...

it sure is depressing seeing the hair go so quickly... hopefully most of it grows back!

Yea week 2-3 for me this time was a huge shed! I reckon I've got about 50% left, hard to tell though. It's been nearly 4 weeks now.

I reckon you'll both start to see regrowth in the coming days/weeks. I spotted mine around week 13, they were so small I could only see them on the photos I taken and a about 1 week later they were clear to see.

I would say about 100 . My procedure was 1333 grafts.

I went FUT first go around to make sure I got the best survival bang for my buck for my frontal hairline.

As for the timeline, you seem right on schedule. At about 3 weeks most of the grafts had fallen out. I was at first saddened by this but then realized the SOONER they fell out, the SOONER they will get over their 'resting phase' and start to regrow.

That looks *really* disappointing. To drop that much cash and have such low density. The end result after 3 months looks like 10-15 grafts/cm2.

                      What happened?

I cant believe he has that many hairs that survived falling out. They are obviously not growing but i asked a question a while ago about this.

                        a) the hairs that survive and just keep growing as usual

                        b) the hairs that fall out and you cant see the follicles anymore. You just wait

                        c) the hairs that dont fall out but just sit there and dont grow either.

Can a follicle 'rest' while the hair is still sitting there? This looks like what happened to those grafts.

LOL. 'end result' after 3 months ? You're kidding right ? The idea is that grafts only start growing back after 3 months. 'End result' is to be expected at 15-18 months. In most cases, the 3 months milestone will be when you have the least hair (it's usually the moment just before regrowth kicks in).

Oh, they ARE growing ! I'm shaving my head twice a week. Not all of them grow though, I have about 10 left at this moment that never grew, but these are starting to fall out. From what I've read this is quite normal and they can be expeced to grow back.

Well that is different. I think I had a few hold outs after a month and a half but definitely after 2 months they had all fallen out except the 100 that never stopped growing . I know they are transplanted because they are on the lowest spot on my hairline where there hasnt been a hair since 1987.

the redness has finally faded out now. I am looking forward to when the hair starts growing back !!!!
