I have? I posted and discussed with people on another forum and the guy above is right in the fact that replicel confirmed there are no iPSC's used and the adjacent trial from sheishedo will be identical. Like I said - No RCH-01 treatment will involve these stem cells.
Now if Shiseido come out with a different treatment involving iPSC's then ok. Can they really go from a safety trial to completed safety and efficacy In 2/3 years? Bare in mind this phase 2 will take about 3 years. Another question, Japan have lines of stem cells they can easily begin to use as allogeneic iPSC's because they aren't so genetically diverse as the western world. It's cheaper and the chance of rejection could be low so if they go that route we still couldn't get the treatment in 2018. Maybe they don't go that route but they have gone that route in one clinical trial in Japan involving iPSC's.
Anyway all we can do is wait. They are apparently set to begin this year so we will soon find out. If it's the RCH-01 then there would be negative amounts of things gained if they reverted back to pluripotency, Infact there would be no point what so ever.
Now if they get 2 treatments, one with IPSC's to grow hairs in vitro and RCH-01 for those who are still nw2 then that could be somethingbut again just read what I said about IPSC's and how replicel confirmed adjacent trial will be RCH-01.

Shiseido will bring a treatment in 2018 is a fact according to their claim. Only speculation is their use of ips cells in phase2.Comment

I agree. Why would someone just write an article with a fake claim? It completely makes sense to use ips cells and dermal sheath cup cells as a cure for hair loss. Using only dermal sheath cup cells is not a cure as evident by replicels phase 1 results. Dr ohyama had been researching ips cells for hair loss for a long time and he works for shisheido.Comment

Renee have you tried to contact the author? I might try. You're right, have you read through the q&a with Dr Gardner? I think he goes over well the idea of why you would use IPSC's and how it could lead to creating just a cheaper alternative treatment.
All I'm saying is the RCH-01 treatment won't be IPSC's. Now could you have one for preventing hair loss more and another to grow new hair which probably won't need a 3 year phase 2. Again these are questions which keep being answered but we just can't know. Again Dr Gardner spoke about the importance that even if you can grow a hair, you need to create a healthy scalp pre balding. Or if replicel RCH-01 shows the ability to create DHT resistant hairs then together you have the cure treatment.
We are all just repeating ourselves but getting hold of the author is a good shout.Comment

I have not, You should try to contact the author.
Here is a quote from a press release in 2013 when replicel and shisheido announced their partnership.
"Having paid a 400 million yen contract free, shisheido will combine replicel's hair regenerative medicine technology and its own technology and aim to commercialize safe and effective hair regenerative medicine that integrates beauty and medicine to help those concerned about pattern baldness and thinning hair ."
Also in 2013 dr ohyama a world renowned ips cells researcher who works for shisheido released a paper that detailed
A cure for baldness may not be too far off after scientists in Japan said they have engineered hair follicles, tissue that is essential to hair growth, from human induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.

Let's fast forward to 2015 and that recent article makes real sense if you connect the dots.Comment

The key from that quote is "and it's own technology." The affiliation of dr ohyama and shisheido can lead one to conclude it is ips cells.
Keep in mind shisheido is a huge company with access to capital. They would never do what for example dr terskikh did and announce they grew hair from embryonic stem cells. I'm sure they have already done that. They will announce when they are ready to do trials so they can protect their ip.Comment

"Also if Shiseido have changed/enhanced something in the protocol/type of cells they use, for the trial they will enter or if it is exactly the same of replicel phase 1
is there somewhere we can donateł? what's going on with that?"
Would be interesting to know if Shiseido has improved on Replicel's technology and why they are so confident that they will release the cure in 2018 as indicated by the article this summer.Comment

Put this here as it's related with replicel's protocol, some Shiseido scientists patented this in 2014, a quality control method of the hair follicle inductive ability of a composition (by measuring the expression of CD36 in the DS cells)
Quality control method of the composition for the hair follicle formation
WO 2014200025 A1
Abstract
Compositions having a hair follicle inducing ability, as well as the provision of quality control method of the composition. Dermal sheath ("DS": dermal sheath) of the DS cells derived from, by sorting the CD36 expression of DS cells, can be hair follicle induction ability to obtain a high composition. Furthermore, the composition for hair follicle formation, by measuring the percentage of CD36 expression of DS cells, it is possible to quality control for the hair follicle inductive ability of the composition.

Never heard of these scientists before, they must be part of shiseido hair research center and the ones who concretely work on sisheido's protocol tools for the coming trialComment
