I like that PRP injection gun listed earlier. It's been added to my list of things to buy. Looks like it will run me around $500 to get started.

OK, I'll keep you updated. I spent less than $500 to get started. Just off the the top of my head, probably around $350 to $400. I could get the exact amount if you want - I am curious myself. But each time I do PRP injections the cost is about $15. Compare that to the $400+ you would spend each time at a Dermatologists.

Its been 3 months since I started PRP at home (DIY). Every 2 weeks I draw 4 test tubes of blood for injecting into the front and the next day draw 4 more test tubes for injecting into the crown for a total of 16 different blood draw, spins and injections and 64 test tubes.

Results: The hair that was miniaturizing got thicker (I don't see my scalp anymore) and the hair in the front middle that was in the process of falling out has stopped. But unfortunately there hasn't been any new hair regrowth that I can tell. I took picture last week and in 3 more months I will post my results. Even though the benefits have been modest, I think its been worth it.

Hey everyone. Joined today just to post in this thread. Quite an informative thread for anyone looking for doing prp by themselves. I have ordered a prp kit with almost everything from blood draw, acd-a, collection tubes with different syringes and needles. I think it will give me a head start to diy prp. I have also ordered a centrifuge and test tubes to go with the centrifuge. I ll be giving it a go in another week or so. I also plan on ordering the 3dose syringe. Dont know if it will be available where i live. I ll keep you guys posted. Should I be worried about contamination with air if I am using test tubes without cap. I have test tubes with cap but I would need to remove it when inserting needle to collect or fill blood in them. Cheers!! Also some before and after pictures of heads would be useful to boost morale in this thread.

Hi friends, I hope you are all having a nice weekend.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I'm also interested in trying PRP at home.

In the last two years, I've noticed more hair loss from my head, and I noticed that the front right of my head hair is less dense than before.
As a result, I did 3 PRP sessions last year at a local clinic and I noticed less hair loss after.

However, in the last few months I see more hair loss again, so I figured I'd try PRP treatments at home.
I volunteer as an EMT, so I'm familiar and feel comfortable with drawing my own blood, and I know how to keep a sterile environment and method.

Before I order the necessary tools mentioned in earlier posts in this thread, do any of you have new comments to share about this topic -- now that almost nine years passed since the topic was first opened?

Are you still doing PRP sessions at home?
Do these treatments help stop your hair loss and grow more new hair?
If you moved on to other solutions, which ones are you using now and why?

I also read through your tools recommendations and I have a few questions:

Which tool would you recommend using, a derma roller or a derma stamp?
I tried a derma roller on my head before, but it sometimes some of my hair out when it rolled, so it wasn't so comfortable.

As such, are derma stamps more comfortable?
I assume derma stamps don't pull hair out because they don't roll, so the hair is less likely to get tangled in the roller.

Is there a difference in efficiency between rollers and stamps?

What needle length is recommended for rollers and stamps, is 2mm enough or should I look for longer needles?
Will a device similar to this one be good?

I read that for the actual PRP injections, it's preferable to use 4mm needles. Is this still the recommended needle length?

I saw the following 9 needles head on Aliexpress and it looks like a comfortable solution for self injecting PRP becasue it allows for a wider injection coverage in less time, but this head has 2mm needles. Will this length be enough?

What about PRP centrifuges. Any updated recommendations
Is there a reason to invest in a pricer centrifuge such as:

Hope some of you can help
