    Histogen raises $9.49 million

Hello everyone, im gonna let the more seasoned vets on the forum draw conclusion from this but it seems that histogen has fundraised $9.49 million. Idk if this is for their phaseIIb trials in japan or what.

Great find BDD! That sounds very good

"On average, companies in the Biotechnology sector, sell 73.77% of the total offering size. Histogen sold 100.00% of the offering. Could this mean that the trust in Histogen is high? The average offering size for companies in the Biotechnology industry is $3.08 million. The total amount raised is 207.99% bigger than the average for companies in the Biotechnology sector"

With japanese laws, Histogen is come back in the front of the race in my opinion x) Won't be 'the cure' but in combination with a good HT, I could be saved for some years.

      This is very interesting indeed.

Could it be that Histogen are in a much stronger position than anyone could have anticipated? The article states that "The information in Form D is usually highly confidential for ventures and startups and they don't like revealing it" and that "Entrepreneurs usually want to keep their financing a 'secret' so they can stay in stealth mode for longer."

Perhaps Histogen have something up their sleeve...?

      KJ.

I thought they were trying to raise $18 million?

"In May 2015, Histogen opened an $18M Series D financing round."

Does this mean anything or they just filed it later? They have three more filings and all filed at the same time (amended 06/29) and have articles at the site OP posted. The $18 million is also filed with the SEC and nothing has been sold yet.

yeah im a lil confused by all this as well. The first link states out of 18 million nothing has been sold, but factoring in the next 3 links, they've apparently raised 25 million dollars.

What do you mean like it's supposed to?

This is a great opportunity for any member, old or new, to apologise for their "Histogen is dead" malarkey.

It's exactly our complaining and 10M questions that put them off from communicating here with us.

                      Any japenese guy here?

I'm sure there is interesting things on japanese hair loss forums regarding future stemcells treatments, not only histogen

when you know there is already more than 150 clinics who offers better prp treatments, AAPE injections, etc..

This round will provide capital for development of its HSC program, including a US Phase I clinical trial in female diffuse hair loss patients and a late-stage HSC trial in male pattern hair loss, expand its manufacturing capability, other corporate purposes and to support preparation for an initial public offering (IPO)

"expand its manufacturing capability and to support preparation for an initial public offering" , like that kind of words

I'm literally just so confused by histogen and all you people saying it's dead. Is it what people describe in terms of just chucking all the growth factors in you need?

Why would they release this if they can see what replicel is doing? Hmmm something somewhere must have changed/improved?

I think ppl are just saying their dead because we as a community sometimes let the anxiety of not hearing from these companies get to us. Factored in with the fact that most hair loss companies do end up in the graveyard and we get a roller coaster of emotions when we dont hear from them, or when we do lol. I honestly thought the picture of the female with the temple recession before and after was impressive, id just feel better if it was of a man.
