Why? Does the fin not absorb into the scalp well enough?

Blood and serum absorption is different from ingestion as oppsed to the scalp. Biochemistry 101 based on how things are delivered into the body. Pills by their makeup are designed to be ingestible by pharmacology.. by crushing them and pulverizing them into bits and making an ad hoc liquid solution.. well number one it dilutes potency of the drug at work I would surmise.

Number two.. it has to penetrate the scalp and by extension the wall of sebum and waxy build up that has been generated for some over a long period of mid range to advanced baldness and even then it would need a compound to aid in that delivery a penetrating fluid that aids in absorption at the scalp tissue level. But again finasteride as designed by its pill form in terms of pharmacology was not meant to by its intended design take that shortcut. So you are not only wasting a good supply of finasteride by your kitchen sink chemist approach but whatever gains you have made would have been perhaps marginally better had you ingested the batch that decided to mix.

As an addendum the chemical half life of the topical Minoxidil is roughly 22 hours from the time of application.. For propecia the chemical half life is around 4 to 6 hours. So in order for a topical to penetrate and be reasonably effective it must have an effect that last the better portion of 12 hours perhaps in a given day pending no extraneous variables like sweating, swimming or showering washing away the active formula slowly going inert on your scalp. Crushing propecia and mixing it in Minoxidil technically should not work because it isn't adding 6 hours to 22 hours like doing sums. The chemicals and their breakdown still should follow their own governing rules give or take meaning you are wasting your Propecia unless you know a viable chemist who can take delivery system A of the finasteride pill and change it into a verfiable solution B that has a prolonged chemical half life neccesary for a topical formula to work effectively. Until that happens well you are taking your chances crushing up and wasting your existing supply of expensive meds.

No it is something else altogether... made of a different chemical composition but if it were finasteride marketed as a completely other product the legal damages RU would incur would be quite extensive....

I don't think he literally meant fin. But its essentially topical fin in the sense that it blocks DHT in the scalp (and test).

RU is marketed as an experimental topical anti-androgen blocker so in that sense that would be correct to a degree.

Dr. Lee had a similar formula to this called ******* 15 Plus with Finasteride (Minoxidil 15% plus Fin). It only lasted for couple of months until FDA shut down his facility. I think whether the Finastride is oral or topical, sexual sides will occur. If a person faced sexual sides orally then I don't find a reason why it wont affect him topically. After all its absorbed in the body!!!

Dr. Lee was a calculating snake oil salesman and fraud hence the shutting down of Dr Lee's facility by the FDA. Copper Peptides did zilch for the hairline when I bought his shampoo years ago and he shamelessly took advantage of people while promoting/ selling a product that did not work conclusively on balding men and women. I received zero results from using his product and this was around the late nineties I believe.

Finasteride is the best player in the game right now for actually halting the progress of MPB and has conclusive clinical trials and results to back that up of over nearly two decades as petent one two knock out punch androgen DHT 5AR enzyme blocker. No other product out there can say that right now. Yes it has been shown to have sexual side effects in those who unfortunately fall in that category but for the majority the effects either wear off or were never there to begin with and they retain and regrow lost hair as I have and am continuing to do after brief sides that disappeared after my initial weeks on the meds and since then nothing.. no side effects and everything went back to normal.
