Nobody knows. I don't think it was ever confirmed that they advanced to phase III. They've definitely completed a phase II trial - which i think was finished quite a while ago.
But, since then the only news that has been dug up is that their VP of Research and the VP of Pharmaceutical Development have been rumored to have left the company. You can make of that what you want. It doesn't sound promising to me. But then again, people leave companies for all kinds of reasons. It just seems kind of odd - if they were on the verge of releasing a potentially very lucrative treatment, why would people bail?
I'm still holding them as my long shot favorite, with hopes that they surprise us out of nowhere and release an amazing new treatment soon. Not likely, but i can dream, right?

I think this is the real deal. Fingers crossed!
Sounds to me from reading an article that no studies in humans yet. Hopefully it ends up working as well and creates some substantial new hair. Its at the least a promising avenue even if it doesnt pan out, and it came out of nowhere.
Burtandernie ,you said.. "Sounds to me from reading an article that no studies in humans yet"
Apparently you misread the article. Follica's most recent article stated that they DID perform human studies, thats why it has caused such a positive vibe online. Listen to Spencer's latest show, Ep. 74 from 6-4-13.
He and Joe from Staten speak about Follica's info.
