In vivo Knockdown of the Androgen Receptor Results in Growth Inhibition and Regression of Well-Established, Castration-Resistant Prostate Tumors
do the same for follicles and baldness will be cured permanently. This study is the first direct evidence that knockdown of AR is a viable therapeutic strategy for treatment of prostate tumors that have already progressed to the castration-resistant state.Comment

I dont know why people are mentioning Finasteride.
Its clear from the following link companies are arguing in favour of a complete move away from Finasteride to a better more safer option.

I suppose that's what Aderans and replicel are aiming for. But I'm not sure how that would work!?!nothing's changed it's just the business-types got better at creating hype and making money doing as little as possible.
Gene therapy is not coming in your lifetime nor would you really need it. The actual cure for MPB is to remove all androgen receptors from your scalp and the exact same thing has already been done in some experiments with people with prostate issues. They just don't get it...Comment

no they're not. That would be way too easy and not patentable. Better find the most obscure and most difficult way at solving this that way you can get a patent for that.Comment

False and completely ridiculous, lol.
They will search for the easiest and best workaround or alternative , not the most obscure and most difficult.Comment

bump!
how come no one responded to my previous post(quoting someone):
^ very important and it might save Histogen as I'm sure daily topical of their "growth factors" is more effective than a couple injections a year...If you notice every other pharmaceutical treatment for hair loss (whether topical or per-oral) requires at least once daily dosing. For topicals it's usually twice a day.
Histogen is a sub-epidermal injection which is ESSENTIALLY a topical.
Why did they choose this rather weird method of application -- injecting chemicals into the skin -- rather than a topical lotion?Comment
-
There's probably TWO reasons:
1) Proteins such as (Wnt) are very large molecules with a molecular weight of about 10,000. This makes topical application almost impossible.
2) Body probably doesn't release these every day but in cycles. They're probably trying to mimic body's responsesComment

Can Histogen be used in a way to control the recovery of the hairline as can be done with a hair transplant?Comment

From what ziering says, vellus hairs almost all grow back, so there is positive in that.(which is huge for early loss sufferers, including myself, nearly all of my hairline would come back with this stuff)
Anything further than that is speculation, we dont know.
Awaiting the next results release, but man, this is a painfully slow process.Comment
