Hair-loss prevention with Korean Seaweed?

That article says it was tested on mice. Lots of things work on mice that don't work on humans. That being said, I currently use this in my regimen. Only for about a month so can't say if it's working or not but you can find it in products that have "Korean Red Seaweed". It has to say Korean Red Seaweed, there are different types but Korean Red Seaweed is what has been used in the East for a long time to treat hairloss.Comment

Its a bit sad though we are seriously discussing seaweed as a possible MPB treatment in 2015 about 20 years after propecia. No one in the last hundred years ever tried or realized this type of seaweed helped with hair seems a bit odd to me.Comment

This Seaweed has been used to treat hairloss for over a Thousand years. "Modern" medicine kicked all the natural healers out of the business in the early 19th century. People are now barely starting to understand how food and nature can cure things modern medicine can only treat... with a bunch of side affects.Comment

This is the Red Seaweed Shampoo I use. this is the closest thing I could find to Korean Red Seaweed when I looked a few months back. In the picture the shampoo is green but they send the Red Seaweed shampoo.

I've seen great improvement over the past few months using this along with my regimen. I was experiencing growth before I started using it. I started using it for its carrageenan properties which inceases WNT signaling but after reading it also ups PGE2, I'm extra glad I'm using it.Comment

The properties that it has goes hand in hand with my treatment method of wound healing so I believe it helps. Im not saying it's the reason I'm seeing growth because there was growth before I started using it but science shows WNT Signaling is crucial to growth factor response and carrageenan stimulates WNT signaling. I'm also taking "Irish Moss" supplements because that's the only edible supplement I found containing Carrageenan. Most likely from Red Seaweed since Irish Moss is a seaweed based supplement.Comment

Alright! Sorry for asking so many questions. The last one now: Are there any sides and how long do you need to takes both of these two before you can expect some results?Comment

I haven't experienced any sides but I take caution in how much I take. I only take Irish moss during and while recovering from wounding since WNT signaling is also responsible for Cancer growth. The shampoo I use everyday.
The results you experience will be determined on your treatment method. It could help on its own but I believe combined with wounding would give the best results. I can't say when you'll see results or even IF you'll see results. Everyone's different, everyone responds differently and if your hair loss regimen isn't the same as mine, no telling how you'll respond.Comment
