Thanks gc83, and the best for you !!!
So, Dr Gho extracted grafts in the same area that extracted the first time, right?
What are your impression with gho? could you ask him some important questions?
And finally, did you date another procedure for the future?
    Thanks and congratulations.

My impressions of Gho are the same as last time, what I learnt this time, was for me 700 grafts takes a long time, I started at roughly 10.45 with the extractions and finished at about 1pm. Started the recipient area after lunch at 2pm and finished at approx 6pm.

I was bleeding slightly more than normal so they said in my recipient area, which made the task much more labour intensive, possibly due to the scarring alopecia, who knows. Maybe shouldn't have had a few drinks on Saturday night! Next time I'll give myself 7 days of no drink before my next procedure.

One of his technicians told me they had surpassed their record by doing 2450 hst in one day recently. This kind of quantity would be theoretically impossible for me it seems, now I know what they mean when they say good donor area and no scarring etc helps with doing larger procedures more speedily.

I also asked him how many more procedures I'd need to get. He advised to go for a light coverage first, 'natural look' he said! (I can't be too fussy in my situation right now, I'd take light coverage.) Anyway he continued to say that I'd need 2 or 3 more procedures. I also asked again if I could do my next procedure on 2 consecutive days, he basically said yes, but I don't think he'd want to do more than say 1500 over 2 days because of my situation.

I also noticed there was another patient having a procedure at the same time as me, it seems in London they do two procedures on a monday and two on a tuesday now. I'm dam sure I was the only patient there on my first procedure.

I have another date pencilled in, but I need to confirm it with him.

drinking before an HT is a no no

also, you could use toppik once you get light coverage. I hated on the stuff for a couple years but recently got some and am amazed at how well it works and looks on thinning areas

are the yellow/scabbed dots from last procedure? or already healed from this one?

They are most likely the transplanted hairs. They will fall off and grow back if the follicles don't die.

You can read more about that online. That said if they do all grow back then you're right, you'll get a good idea what the end result will be...

                You're absolutely right. My apologies.

Do you have to shave the donor and the recipient area with Gho?

I only had to shave part of the donor area, it's basically a 1 inch band from ear to ear, but the hair above it is long enough to cover it until it grows back.

I think if you have a lot of hair in the recipient area then ideally he would prefer it shaved or shortish, but i think every case is different, they need to be able to see what they're doing.

Thanks GC. How are you feeling about your first transplant now since all this time has past?

Also one more thing - do you have any pics like this:

You're not the only GHO patient on the boards now. I'm excited for both of you guys!!
I had the HaarStamcel Transplantatie, that was carried out by Dr. Van Herwijnen in the HASCI Clinic in Maastricht. Until now I had a very good experience and hope that during the next months i will see the regrowth as advertised. Here you can look and evaluate some high res pics, that i took 3 days after my first treatment with

                      Hi Kiwi,

No I haven't seen this other case, that's great, be good to see if he has any before pics too.

Yes I have other pictures, these pictures are focusing on regrowth in the donor, so if you look closely at the first picture I posted on tuesday further up this thread somewhere, if you look at the yellow/red extraction points and compare the same points on the following photos, you will be able to see new hairs coming from those areas, let me know your thoughts!:
                      day 2 - donor
                      day 3 - donor
                      day 5 - donor
                      day 5 - recipient

The last picture is a bit sick, apologies, I don't know what this yellow stuff is, either the minox or just dry skin. I've washed some of it off, but I don't want to rub too hard on the grafts!

Roger that. I'll be in touch.

How are you feeling about the first session now? Do you think you got the kind of growth you were hoping for?

                          Hey gc,

Any updates? Been a few months and I'm sure I'm not the only one who is curious about your progress.
