And dont forget WS is a NW5+ candidate with very thin donor, really thin donor as you can see on one of the last fotos.
So Gho wouldnt be stupid to offer him something well knowing his stuff doesnt work because it would destro Ghos reputation.
I think that you can harvest around 20.000 Grafts via HST from a donor area before its getting tricky would be a square inch area of 285 covered with 70 density.
Btw nobody has such a huge bald area right? Btw can someone tell me what the average size of a bald head is?Comment
-
Norwood 6 I'd say for an average head would be about 250cm2. 70FU/cm2 in the first 50cm2, 60 in the midscalp 100cm2 and 50 in the crown of 100cm2 works out at 14,500FU.Comment

So on paper, if this is for real and can be perfected, it could potentially put an end to any amount of baldness. The only variables would be time and money.
That's a big statement I know, but this seems to be one of the most promising things to come out in a long time.
I feel like this procedure would be great for someone in early stages of loss, such as myself. I've had 1300 FUE into the front, but my midscalp and crown are thinning. I've talked with H&W, Cooley, Cole, Prasad and Hitzig and the general consensus is that I would need around 2000 grafts to thicken up these two areas. From the sound of it, I could get that with Gho's procedure, then in a year or two if I have continued loss, I could come back for more. Granted, its going to get slightly expensive lol, but at least there could be an option.Comment

I agree completely man. I'd sign up now if I knew 100% that it was for real. I wonder when we'll know for sure. Are any other docs, Spencer, or anybody seriously looking into it? If even one other reputable doctor was able to say "hey... this is for real", I'd be on the phone with Gho's office.Comment

even given the relatively ample amount of evidence I would love to see some more results
I'm really hoping we see some results popping up on Dutch forums in the next six months
if enough buzz gets generated well have the answers to our questions soon enough
Has spencer followed up at all?
Hey jeffro check this out... its an official apology by a doctor for calling HST a scam.. he must have been taken to court by Gho.. because gho must be legit... you dont see lazer comb makers bringing nay sayers to court......
and this...
before
"on a 1-10 scale i give his presentation a 1"
after
"ill be visiting gho while im in the netherlands"
just came to me...
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED TO DO:
email whatever HT doctor you have interest in (other than gho) and ask about HST and tell them you're very interested in HST
if enough of us show this type of interest we will see a MUCH faster transition... or we will have Gho outted as a scammer MUCH fasterComment

Ah ok then i was right with my estimation of about 12 to 14k Grafts in general.
So if Gho can increase his sessions by 3000 Grafts i say its very good and you would be finished in 4 consecutive years but even with 9000 Grafts after three years you could have an awesome appearance and only a small thinning or balding spot to cover.
Yes sir in your case i would opt with Gho, especially considering that his grafts are thinner and you minimaze the problem of shockloss etc and you minimize recipient area scaringComment
-
I believe Dr. Feriduni also retracted his signature from that document saying he investigated the procedure and he believes it to be what it says.Comment
-
although, Gho is booked until march 2012
SO WHAT WE ALL NEED TO DO IS EMAIL A SURGEON OF OUR CHOICE AND ASK IF THEY OFFER HST... TELL THEM THAT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AN APPOINTMENT BUT NOT UNTIL THEY OFFER HSTComment

if you get 2,300 grafts every 9 months you could have 12,000 grafts in about 4 years... so you're talking about $67k IF the price stays the same for the next 4 years (which it wont if we can get more people to offer it...)
I'd take driving a piece of shit car for five years with a full head of hair over being the bald guy driving a benz anyday
he recently bumped the max graft count up to 2,300 from 1,900 and lowered the minimum wait between procedures from 12 months to 9 months (on average)
When HST was being introduced in 2007-08 he was only offer 600 grafts per procedure and I think it cost more per graph than it does today
AGAIN, we all need to email our surgeon of choice and ask if they offer HST even if we know they dont.... I've emailed a couple well known surgeons..... both avoided answering the HST part of my emails but politely thanked me for my compliments about their work... lets get the demand train rolling guysComment

Needhair your arguments seem so familiar :-)
Anyway i have to correct you her, 12.000 Grafts aka 5 years, just calculate one year for the unexpected.
Anyway i am really lokking forward to when Gho offers 3000 Graft sessions, I really wanna see how other surgeons react then.
The most funny thing would be a flatrate, where he harvest the whole possible donor area or so, this would be effin funny.Comment

I have a few problems with Gho:
1. Other surgeons are not going to offer this stem cell thingy because he has a patent on it (probably).
2. There are a lot of disputes about the quality of hair that is transplanted. If you take part of the follicle, don't expect an entire new one to grow there. It's going to be much thinner hair. The only thing oyu can do is have a real hair transplant at a real surgeon (like Feriduni or Hasson & Wong) and make sure oyu have enough hair at the front, and in the worst case scenario go to Gho to transplant the crown a little bit, just enough to hide it with toppik or something...this is maybe a bit somber but I don't see any other option at the moment.
3. Gho almost never does the operations himself. He has nurses and other employees who do it.
4. None of the results that are shown on the website are results that you can expect with a technique that is claimed (by Gho) to be revolutionary.
5. I just saw Wesley Sneijder on TV the other day...his hair doesn't look as thick as in the beginning...maybe it has to do with the fact that he's not taking any meds to halt further hair loss.
Again, these are just my opinions/feelings/speculations...Comment

1. thats not true... botox has a patent but many doctors use it because of the high demand for it.... gas stations don't have the rights to snickers candy bars but they still sell them... its all about demand so everyone start emailing surgeons and asking if they offer HST!
2.
a.I think that these disputes were ended... i'll have to find a source for this though.
b. yes that is an option if hasson and wong dont find enough demand for HST
Edit# 1: here is the source to back my statement above... http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20388024
Edit #2: I just realized the above source is from a study done by gho... so i guess you can yell conspiracy if you wanted to... I think there is an article that also back Gho's findings above that was done by some italian scientists I'll have to get back to you guys on it..
3. this is true, especially as there are three clinics across europe... I would rather have a technician who does it everyday and leave the research and development to gho anyway.... if we can demand HST from other doctors than maybe you can have feller or hasson and wong do HST on you.. imagine that.. its all about demand
4. You mean that there should be better before after results from a technique that makes such claims?
this is true, the results on the website aren't great but ...
a.when you have to wait a year in between treatments
b. the maximum number of grafts per session pegged under 1,900 (and between 2006-2009 only 600 grafts per session)
c. the cost of a full restoration being 60k-100k (depending on when you started)
d. its only been available since 2005 or 2006
so......(600+600+600+600+1800+1800=6000 grafts) so in the best case scenario... if a patient started getting treated in 2005... and stayed on PERFECT schedule of session up until this very day the best we could have is a 6,000 graft patient.
5. thats fair. just remember he recieved only 1700 FUE and he was a pretty diffuse nw3 (maybe nw4 or 5) with thin hair to begin with and a shaved headComment
