Well, in that case I have nothing to worry about! It's getting sparse up there in places so I doubt the surgeon will have much trouble grafting between native hair. The odds of transecting a native hair in my case are slim and getting more so by the day.

Thanks for the video and advice Swoop. It's not something I take lightly and I've pondered over it for years. I definitely think Belgium would be where I would go to have it done as I've heard they're among the best. I had consultation with some Belgium based surgeons a few years back and the shock loss thing put me off. I think if they could pull it off, my hair loss problem would be pretty much solved but it is a big gamble. I'm not in any panic so I will be doing more research and giving it more thought. Cheers.

And yeah some of the patients in those videos closely resemble own hair situation. General diffuse loss all over the top with the temples taking a bit of a hit too, more so than other areas. So, they can clearly achieve excellent results even with diffuse loss. That gives me great hope. I've tinkered with all the treatments but it always ends up coming back to HT and whether to go ahead with it or hold out for some miracle treatment that doesn't look like it's going to appear anytime soon. The cost is reasonable enough. It's only the hairline and frontal area I care about. I don't really give a toss if I have a bald patch on the crown. I don't even apply RU to this area, I just focus on the frontal region. If I could achieve a result like yours I'd be set man. That is some awesome work.

Diffuseloser, many thanks for the compliments. I'm extremely happy with the results I got too. Nobody would know that I have had a HT and I have basically a ~NW1 hairline now (it's not a completely straight hairline though). My yield has turned out to be extremely good.

The gallery I just showed you is of Dr. Lorenzo. He is considered one of the best FUE surgeons worldwide btw. Belgium has some top notch surgeons too like you mention... Feriduni and Bisanga etc..

A hair transplant surgery is a game of odds imo. Realistic expectations are important depending on your unique situation and choosing a quality surgeon is extremely important too. If these are in place, your chances of getting a favorable outcome are high in my opinion. Feel free to give me a shout if you need some help/advice whatsoever.

Hey I am still here reading the forums. The mental side effects have improved for sure, I would say I am 90-95% back. Sexually I seem to be fine as well. So it looks like getting of RU after 1 year did not leave me permanently impaired however, for a good 3 weeks I was shot to hell. Couldn't focus or do anything, headaches, blurry vision etc. I think RU deprived my body of androgens everywhere.

I am off RU and only using minox now, trying to accept that I will be bald in 1-2 years. I am too broke to try other treatments otherwise I would give CB a try. Bottom line with RU is most long term users have gotten off this drug. The biggest proponent for RU was el_dut and he even abandoned RU after many years. Another poster above also crashed after using RU for 4 years. I consider myself lucky because one day I woke up like a zombie after 1 year of use. Imagine if I did not recover? I would have been devastated and would have had to quit my future medical career and do trades work.

In hindsight, I should have used Fin and not touched RU, although I am not missing with Fin either. When you lose the ability to think critically and feel like a zombie, you quickly realize how meaningless your hair is in comparison. Yea I wish I could maintain my hair but If I have a choice, I am not trading my mind and dick for hair. Im here to answer any more questions if you have them.

I was pretty much in the same "state of mind" after using finasteride for a month,
and a week after dropping it I felt fine, but through that week I was scared to death that I'm gonna be "stuck" like this. Good to hear that you're fine.

I have been using RU now for 1 month and 2 weeks..no sides even when using 450mg at once..the highest dosage I have used is 500mg+dermarolling...I have never had any sexuall side effects or anything at all.. im not saying im "superman" and that I will never get problems..but so far so good..im gonna continue with the RU until I crash like you did..then I will have to stop..

Are you sure you meant to write 450mg?? The most I saw was 100mg form other members and that was considered very high if I recall it correctly. OP was using 45mg. 450mg seems extremely high dosage. I'd assume you must get sides on such a high amount of RU. Provided that what you got in your order is actually RU...

yes I mean really 450mg..but I have to say that I have bought "premixed 5% RU" in ethanol/pg and also tried the KB solution, but I have read people also getting side effects from the "premixed" its still stable and effective it dont "degrade" as fast as people would Think..at least on the bottle it says "lasts up to 6 months in room temperature" also emailed them and asked they say its stable for a long time.. surely even tho its "premixed" I should have felt side effects when using 450-500mg? +dermarolling?? normally I just use "250mg" but I never get any sides from that dosage.. and I Always dermaroll until my scalp bleeds.. I get my stuff from anagen inc and thekaneshop.. trust me they are legit "RU" also I use up one premixed bottle in 2 weeks..it wont have time to degrade

Once in a while I preach. I understand the emotions of hairloss....I think we all do...at some point one must decide if experimenting with hairloss drugs is worth the negatives. I think at times I thought being dead was better than being bald. I can only say if you cannot stop the loss of hair you might find a buzz cut something that others would not ridicule you for. I see tennis players, actors, neighbors lose their hair and we think wow but that we are all afflicted and really it is not the end...yes if feels like it but life will go on...try it.

Do this: try finasteride, minoxidil and use anti Dht shampoos, Zinc 2%, ketoconazole 2%, Selsun 2.5% and leave on for 10 minutes twice a week.
Take B Complex, some minerals and live healthy. Get a hair translplant if your are a good candidate. You might find that you can slow your loss to something you can live with and hope a real cure happens before you die. My best advice and don't waste your money on the "snake oil" remedies. RU is not worth it

Good you regained your faculties. You know that neural damage is a slow recovery. Buzz your hair but I am against the shaved bald look. You will find you are still a person and that you feel worse than anyone else. Really, when I see bald man, I just think unlucky but it becomes all about the person after that split second. You do know over 50% of us go bald so you are not alone in more senses than one. I just saw Rafael Nadal with a huge bad crown and Federer showing a very thin frontal area. They are in the public eye but go on with life. We can do the same.
