If you go into that link that Renee posted you will see they compare the benefits of their technology to a hair transplant. They've also already stated they have found the cure and by the looks it seems they are way more comfortable in affirming this than Replicel.
So I think Renee is right, they might be doing their own stuff and I don't think it will work only for maintenance.
I really hope they have the full cure and I won't mind if it takes more than 3 or 4 years to get it done. We just want our hair back

@chongmet - reading your thoughts was like reading my own ones. I really want to believe that this nightmare will be finished soon.It ruined my life. Im not myself anymore, I lost myself. I just want it to end and get back to my previous life, without thinking about this shit all day long. Actually the forums keep me optimistic, although it might all be an illusion. Nobody knows when it will end, so my best advice for you is to build yourself a plan and work until you reach it. Fight with all your means. I really hope that at least MAINTAINANCE will be here soon.
I've already begun to save my money for Replicel, if it failes, I will just spend it on big HT.
@Desmond - if Shiseido begins trial this year, 2018 is very possible. As far as I know, they will be able to commercialise it during phase II (after confirmation of safety).Leave a comment:

If it's gonna be expensive then for a lot of people it doesn't matter if it comes out tomorrow. Starting to save up for it right now would be wise.Leave a comment:

I feel you bro, you should've seen my life before the aggresive hair loss began, and if I compare it to now - 180 degrees. It ruined my life. Im not myself anymore, I lost myself. I just want it to end and get back to my previous life, without thinking about this shit all day long. Actually the forums keep me optimistic, although it might all be an illusion. I really hope that at least MAINTAINANCE will be here soon.I hear you and sadly for me even 5 years will be too late for me.
Hair loss really is crippling not only physically but mentally, one can easily lose their entire youth to it. I have been on these forums for longer than I wanted or expected to and a lot of my time prior was spent lurking.
But we'll have to just wait and see what happens in the next few years.
The only hope for me is if a complete dark horse has been working on a decent treatment which comes physically available to us unexpectedly... Yes at this stage in my life I have resigned to just having a viable treatment.Leave a comment:

10 years is not golden for me.Delays in scientific research... Surely you jest!!
Its okay we are still within that golden 5-10 year release schedule.
Let's not forget that on top of said delays it will be years before it actually comes to a town near you as people will have be trained to administer such a thing and also for it to pass your local regulatory body for approval.
In other words expect delays upon delays.Leave a comment:

2018 release is now very unlikely due to the delays as the Phase 2 is a 3 year trial. We need to add at minimum 3-4 months on top of it for japanese regulatory approval for provisional release, which pushes it well into 2019Leave a comment:

Here you go let's put this crap to rest; shisheido is indeed working on its own technology.

Link to source, please?I agree with nameless.
Here is quote below from a press release in 2013 when replicel and shisheido announced their partnership.
"Having paid a 400 million yen contract free, shisheido will combine replicel's hair regenerative medicine technology and its own technology and aim to commercialize safe and effective hair regenerative medicine that integrates beauty and medicine to help those concerned about pattern baldness and thinning hair ."Leave a comment:

Regardless of what any type of poll on this site says, only time will reveal the truth. Everything else is pure speculation. Pointless thread, typical BTT, same old arguments.Leave a comment:
