They had an on going mini trial with their friends/family that they would post pics on the site... But they took it down because they were all different angles and lighting. Some lower Norwoods/diffuse did see a little improvement but nothing to serious. They also used it for only a short period of time like 14 days... Then stopped then two months later did about a 30 days... So nothing consistent. I think it was a safety profile first.

Thanks for breaking that down spaceboy. Yes those pics were most unimpressive. I agree a longer test period would have been nice, but really nothing positive resulted from that first test

But have they answered any of your questions? I have not written them an email, but the last time I head from them was in December and it´s been more than two months since then... What do we really know about Follicept? Are they still working on it? To be honest, I think they were serious and they gave us a lot of info and then suddenly they were gone... It´s kind of unfair, I don´t know I would like them to share like they used to. Kind of miss that, I guess...

          Greetings from Spain guys!

Yeah, I´m sure about it! But they claimed that they product will be released next year so... Problem is thay I´ve reading about Samumed´s product all day and it seems that the situation is similar to Follicept´s.

SM is not really similar to Follicept... Follicept had a radical theory that by using a transdermal delivery system to target one cause in hair loss, that it would reverse AGA. They had no real trials, because it was determined to be a cosmetic application. Devon, the lead PR guy, passed away mid way through. All of the trial subjects they were testing it on showed no regrowth at all. Samumed is trying to tackle the Wnt pathway and have to go through all the trials required. I think concluding that Samumed is dead is premature.

Sorry, but I didn´t mean that Samumed is dead. What I meant is that both are not going to be pills, but a cream to use on the scalp. I thought the science behind both products was similar, but as you have said the have nothing to do with each other.

                  Hope Samumed works!

Follicept is dead my friend. It's even been removed from the Prometheon website.

It is not dead, I promise. I can't give you too much information, but it is not dead. There are reasons for it being removed, and being dead is absolutely not one of the reasons. I cannot comment further on this, sorry guys.

You are free to believe what you would like. I have no reason to play with anyone's emotions. Only the lowest of the low would do that.

Serenemoon is right. Although the tests failed and the product itself was total BS from the start, like explained so many times, there's now a big pharma that wants to buy it. I also heard a bunch of aliens kidnapped the CEO. So stay tuned for more news.

Ergh. Why do I even share news with people?

You're not sharing any news. You're making it look like you know something, that you're in some inside loop. You're not even implying that it's good or bad news. Just that 'you know something'. So why post that ? There's only one explanation and that's that you want attention.

Follicept is dead, it failed, it never had a chance of succeeding in the first place. Get with the program and move on.
