    is this for real?

there is nothing to look forward to whatsoever. Everything is just wishy washy. I didn't expect that we would have a cure available precisely at this time, but I am just in disbelief that we don't even have a clear route to a solution. Even for the most optimistic of people, you are kidding yourself if you are positive about anything. this is unacceptable

I don't know if your post is suited for "Cutting Edge / Future Treatments".

Regardless, to me it quite quickly became clear what the route to the cure is: Stem cells.
And this is being researched. Just to name one company, that is being mentioned several times on this forum: Replicel. Stem cells happens to be of high medical interest as well.

What are you trying to accomplish with this post? If is not adding value it's not helping the community

I understand the frustration my friend but there are more than one company out there in the right path to a better treatment... Not yet but progress is being made

Replicel is confident they will offer a permanent halt to hairloss with some regrowth at the very least. They could potentially grow lots of new hair on a bald scalp but not right away it seems. Stem cells will give us a full cure but its a matter of when. What we will have in the next 5 years along with a ht will be essentially a cure for a ton of people. Who knows maybe histogen will surprise us and we may have a full cure with them together. There is still hope my friend.

Hey man I definitely understand your frustration. It's crazy that there is nothing better. But there will be in about 5 years for maintenance. Looks like I was born about 7 years too early. In 5 years I will be balding badly. We need treatments now. But there is nothing we can do.

It's nonsense to post this thread alongside with Set posts.

Coming from a guy named stayhopeful, you sure aren't staying hopeful. But to answer your question, yes this is for real. It's very real I'm afraid.

I'm not sure why you are all so pessimistic. We've received some of the best news in about forever recently.

Cots work is going to trial, Replicel has major backing, sm is wnt only testing on extremely bald patients, scarless hair transplants w regen are coming

Damn thanks for your post Fear... you are correct.

I guess it's just the immediacy of the issue.. immediately there is no viable option, and at the same time my hair looks like SHIT. man, I am not even 25, it is almost impossible to score some young girls with this hairline. I know, i know the usual argument, DGAF it, have confidence, gym blah blah.... but for real this is torture in an era of social media/instagram etc...

Yeah all those treatments will be out in 5+ years. Big deal when your in your 40s and old. I want a viable treatment when I am relatively young. Good for the 18-24 year olds right now. But for us NW3s who cannot take fin it still sucks.

False. All of these will be around in the next 3 years. Bim could be here next year, and the PGD2 treatment should be here within the next 3 years.

Except the timelines are always bogus. I saw a very well respected transplant surgeon when I was 22. Said I had too much hair and was too young. That was 2 years ago. If treatments are coming within 3 years, minox, RU and Niz should hold me over. But 5-7? I'm going to have to hope I can get a transplant to bridge the gap.
On a related note, they are anticipating that Replicel will work on transplanted areas of the scalp too right?

Replicel, in theory, will work on all areas of the scalp.
