by the way sd..are you only applying 1ml of cet? I feel like 1ml is nothing, and it dries so fast because of the vehicle.

Maybe using 1.5 ml. I don't have extensive loss though, so it's just my crown and hairline. That's the thing with topicals, it's hard to dose right. Would love to just get a setipip pill that I can take daily. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed for kythera. Wish someone was in touch with them, there's gotta be someone that lives in San Diego on here.
And yeah OC seems promising to me too, just hope all this stuff isn't a letdown.Comment

I really don't think cetirizine is a good solution for hair loss, i'm using it because it's keeping the itch at bay a bit, but def would not bank on it doing much for you longterm. That's what I'm gleaning from internet research anyway. Makes sense because it is not a blocker for the correct receptor.
OC on the other hand has promise, if anyone has been able to purchase any please let me know, still no word from kane on my end, and the chemical labs sell it for far too expensive a price. If we can get a steady and reliable source of OC (and hopefully setipi) I think we'll be in much better shape. Hope we can all work together to make that happen.Comment

Wow Finally some good news. Have had a break from forums for a while.
Yeah i'll send some email to Kane and im interested in group buy stuff too. This would be nice add to my current regimen: Dutasteride 0,5mg EOD, minox once ED and I might get some arthisis drug to my regimen in a month.
So.. if Dut, minox, setipip and arthisis drug wont regrow or maintain my hair, then nothing will...
Anyways, good job guys! Soon we shall all gather for a beer when this war is over. Cheers!Comment

....I put 30 crushed up zyrtec pills in 30 ml of water. that's it. I'm getting a very dry mouth, and some sleepiness, which a re typical of zyrtec, so i'm sure it penetrates the skin.
Vis a vis setipip, I think we all just have to email kane. I will type out an email in a bit and post it on here, and you guys can either write your own or copy mine and send it. Anageninc see to have their shit together too, they might be a better bet.Comment

OC and Setipi have both been proven for safety in phase 1-3 trials, so if there are side effects they are very minor, and are probably akin to those of antihistamines (i.e. drowsiness, minor headache, insomnia). Definitely much safer drugs than finasteride, which stops a very important enzyme for brain and sexual function, and changes your hormonal profile.
I would much rather take a pill every day, and use the drug that Cotsarellis is backing, so I believe we should find a supplier. However, if this is not possible then I think enough people should use OC for the moment to get it to an affordable price (also keep demanding a more affordable price).
Do not expect these drugs to regrow a lot of new hair. They are for maintenance, for reducing inflammation and itch, and strengthening hair. Most people have given up on them, when even cetirizine was maintaining exiting hair. I see setipip and OC as great potential candidates for guys who are just starting to lose hair, for those who can't use fin and want to hang on for better treatments, or for those on fin who are losing ground. Do not give up because they don't regrow lots of hair on slick bald guys.
My prediction in kythera releases setipiprant at the same time as bIM (their lead researcher also works for allergan) and the two are used as a maintenance/growth combo. At least I think this is the goal.
Lastly if anyone is in san diego, please try to get in touch with the lead researcher at kythera, and weasel out any info on dosage, timelines, etc that you can. He is a dermatologist and you can prob book an appointment. The more we know about how to use this drug the easier we can get cracking.Comment

Another important question is whether blocking a receptor for a long time causes your body to make more receptors or to make the existing ones more sensitive. This could make these treatments negative in the long run, and I think are the reason why something like RU can do more damage than good. If someone know how to get a hold of kythera or the guy in san diego then please ask them this.Comment

sd, have you seen anyone use OC without results? everything I find, people have results, but the ones that stop just stopped because of the price.. (by results, I mean completely stopping their hair loss from progressing, or some regrowth)Comment

Same here. We really need to get the price lowered on this stuff. Also, I'm kind of concerned about the effects iof blocking a receptor for a long time, more specifically do we end up upregulating and making more receptors and essentially making ourselves more sensitive to pgd2 in the long run. I would live any help researching this , specifically contacting researchers and dermatologists. Someone has hot to get in touch with kythera about it or with upenn.
I am prob willing to go on OC or setipip either way if it means halting loss until cell based treatments come out.Comment
