Something to consider about Follica and others.

Last year we discovered that Follica had been doing trials in secret in Germany. This was a company that has had a lot of eyes on them this whole time and they managed to do this secretly. How many others that aren't well know are doing trials as we speak? With something this big I would not want anyone to know the progress of my approach because when a solid solution comes out then the clinical trials will fly mark my words. When Viagra was invented and they realized the effects it was out in a couple years (I compare them because of the extreme demand.) Follica doesn't get any more money for making bs claims they are funded by Puretech and if they were blowing smoke then they would not have any profit driven business standing by them. Look at the medical and scientific breakthroughs in the news lately. I think it will just appear in the news one day and we can all part ways as happier men.

I wouldn't mind have a forum wide celebration party, go out for drinks.

I still have a lot of hope for follica and if you look at the members bio on their website they are all Harvard professors and respected experts in dermatology. These men and women have money and I doubt theyd put 20 plus years of credibility on the line for some bs claims to get rich quick. Just take a second to notice almost all great news in the last year alone has come out of left field without us expecting it and all the people making breakthroughs that we never heard of prior to the news. They are closing in fast and from a business standpoint there is no logical reason for anyone involved to drag ass. Im sure there is a ton of logistics to work out but mark my words it is coming sooner than we think.

“We've been able to consistently show that we create substantial new hair follicles in humans."

          Follica for the win.

Folica for the .... (5-10 years later - Pending...) win!

Seriously though on top of the obvious rewards it would be nice to see all the scammers pack up shop once an actual real solution arrives because what they are doing is sickening and completely unethical.

I'd say the prolonged wait times and delays for the clinical trials are equally unethical.

I dunno it's funny but this post got me thinking about the sci-fi book by John Wyndham called The Trouble With Lichen where basically scientists discover the cure for ageing but have to carefully strategize how they roll out the treatment because announcing it publicly would destabilise the whole ****ing world lol, I wonder why follica have been so secretive all along, I mean it's more likely that they don't want to give any other company the smallest chance of developing a competitor technology so that only one company is able to dominate the billion dollar baldness treatment market but I do remember seeing somewhere one of the company directors said they needed to be careful about how they released info and it got me thinking that if they announced it tomorrow could there be riots on the streets or overwhelmed airports of bald guys flying to the company HQ to batter down the door! Haha

On a side note do you reckon follica would be suitable for diffuse thinners or would histogen be t he best bet?

We should have done that a long time ago when Dr. Lauster said he creared skin with hair follicles that grew hair. Dumbass didn't do anything with the research and let it rot along with our hair and depression.

                  What a bitch.

There was a bit in the huffington post where Follica stated they were "VERY CLOSE" to unleashing a product that could finally draw the curtain on the dreaded comb-over.

It didn't give any real time scale though I don't know what their version of Very Close is but if they are somewhere close to starting 2b trials then surely that's still years off

Hello, can you tell me what specific source this quote comes from?

Has anyone actually gotten in touch with them? Do they even have any kind of timeline on the product? It seems like they are just working in the total darkness.

I have always thought that the sollution would come pretty much out of the blue when it comes to the hair loss treatment. I`m not sure if this would be Follica, but I`ll be more than happy to greet them welcome if they do!

you are right they are pretty much working in the dark not giving much away,

http://www.puretechventures.com/pipeline.php this is their pipeline don't know if any one has emailed them direct but I imagine you wont get a lot out of them.

There was an article in the huffington post hwere they claimed they were "VERY CLOSE"

BEETEE this is where they claimed to constantly create new follicles

How ever I have found myself in several newspapers over the years for one or two things and I know they don't always tell the gospel truth, Don't know what they mean by very close but that was posted in May last year nearly 12 months ago

Follica is our only hope if we are all looking to have a successful "cure" within the next 3 years. IMO

I think three years is a fraction ambitious, As far as im aware they are still in phase 2a trials, they may not yet have anything that works
