Maybe you could own a percentage of any company formed from the research? I remember listening to NPR and how some states allow small companies to sell company shares to raise money through a state firm of crowd funding. There might be to many regulations but maybe ownership of a company is the best/logical incentive?
I would ask Xu what happens to the cure. I'd be p*ssed if they could sell it to Merk.

. Well, to be honest I personally think that Japan will provide us the cure/solution, but wouldn´t it be nice if all the hair loss sufferers would come together and create awareness and actually would do something about our current state. By helping guys(like Dr. Xu), that are way smarter than all of us, to work towards a better future some of us could potentially also calm their nervs(at least in my case).
I really donīt wanna put this VERY COOL thread off track, because I am only a junior member, BUT how cool would that be... All the circumstances speak in favour of Japan as becoming the saviour and I think that would be well deserved if you consider the steps the government is willing to go towards a "more agile" future of science.
