    Switch Biotech

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if the above company has ever been discussed? From what I've read on their website they seem very forward thinking and dynamic. Their aim is to get new treatments quickly to the market via "drug re-profiling". They combine new biological principles together with existing compounds. So they find secondary uses for already known drugs. This is exactly how Minoxidil & Finasteride were discovered to be of use in combating hair loss, they were already used for heart and prostate problems but found to have a secondary use. The company is targeting hair loss as something to work on. Sure it'll take time but a lot less than other approaches - they believe they can get a new treatment to proof of concept trials within a year!

I really think we should contact these guys, perhaps we could make suggestions to them of compounds they should investigate. Maybe they could find something like CB, maybe they could follow up on the whole pge2/pgd2 inhibitors theory. I dunno, maybe someone like Desmond could give them some good ideas. Maybe now finasteride's patent has expired they could find ways to use it to a fuller potential, I always wished that merck would have tried to develop Propecia 2.0 lol

Anywayz guys check out their website an see what you think. I'm not saying they'll bring us a full blown cure but I feel that they can def bring us better options than fin & min within a decent time period due to their approach.
