The more trials, products and research happening the better.

end of 2012-2013 has to have been the most research/product/trial information rich year in a long time, really feels like we're getting closer and closer each month.

Hair by Sarah hairdressers in Livingston. LOVE your cut or it is FREE!. with expert advice on hair loss, and how to grow hair thicker.

"Of course the Follica baldness cure is still at the development stage but it certainly looks promising, and I would certainly keep an eye on Follica over the coming years."

How can they be in developmental stages when they have completed phase 2, or even 3? I'm so confused.

I think the confusion like other posters have said revolves around the fact that Follica has a few things going on. They did trials on the wounding with lithium already, I'm not sure what stage they were/are in or if they are still perusing that aspect. Then they also may be working on the wounding to induce the fgf-9 pathway from Cots recent study, but I don't think they have done anything on humans with this yet.

So did they or did they not grow hair on a human?

For the record, these trials were discussed in full just about a month ago in similar threads. I can't believe those of you who spend all day on the forum would not know about them.

And Locke is right, don't assume that because these trials have been finished for a while they must be moving into phase 3. The understanding on the forums is that they have changed their approach just after finishing them, and that is what the latest news was about (6 months ago).

And just because one of their scientists said they were close to releasing a product it doesn't mean it will be about in a year.

Yeah, I'm actually surprised hellouser doesn't remember this trial. People were discussing it when there were conflicting reports on what phase follica was at

Follica is too secretive, it's not even funny to speculate with them

I guess it all comes down to whether or not wounding + lithium provided any results. If it did, maybe they'll pursue phase 3 and release that while they work on the fgf9 stuff. If not, they probably won't waste their money. So to us it's 50/50 right now if they'll release something in 2-3 years or 5-10 years.

                  Why lithium?

I don't know, you mean why would lithium produce hair follicles? Lithium gluconate 8% was what they applied topically to the wounded skin to induce neogenesis in the trials, but I don't know the theory behind it.

seems like a long wait on something 50/50 guess will have to continue using or searching in the meantime.

Right now my preference would be Histogen because I've seen how effective it is - I'd love to see some before and afters from Follica. Exciting stuff boys.
Histogen is effective? I have not seen that.
