For all the utter nonsense people write about, it's funny that when Histogen signs a letter of intent to merge with a public company, no one takes notice...

Here's something interesting (found in the link posted in the first reply in this thread).
Histogen's injectable for hair growth will begin clinical trials in late 2008, with product launch planned for 2015. Data will be presented at International Investigative Dermatology 2008, taking place May 14-17, 2008 in Kyoto, Japan.Comment

Quite interesting indeed.
But, I am asking myself, and now I ask you all , why biotech companies involved in MPB-cure researches get commercial opportunities (merges, know-how transfers ecc) BEFORE getting close to a viable product? Just to ask. Maybe the simple answer is: lack of money.Comment

Very very very good. This is just as good as starting new trials because being under the wing of a mighty international corporation is exactly what they needed.
If the deal follows through they will be able to work in a very stable environment which is excellent.Comment

"Stratus Media Group, Inc. organizes and promotes mixed martial arts (MMA) matches. It promotes MMA events under the EliteXC brand. The company also acquired various MMA brands, including King of the Cage, Hawaii-based Icon Sport, and British promotion Cage Rage."
WTF ??

But on a serious note, to me this looks very bad. This deal has the word SCAM written all over it. A company whose core activity is promoting cage fighting, which doesn't have any cash at all, is merging with a company that is fighting hairloss and needs .... cash ? This stinks ..Comment

I think the merged Histogen company will just be a subsidiary of their kind of umbrella corp, so I wouldn't worry too much. Gail wouldn't have taken this lightly, her reputation, career, and billions of dollars are on the line.
Also this guy http://www.forbes.com/profile/isaac-blech/ and this guy http://www.forbes.com/lists/2010/12/...arer_LF2S.html are gunna be involved. They seem to have a lot of biotech investing experience.Comment

It does sound bad, but I have heard of all of those MMA companies. How do you know how much cash they have?

They're out of cash and burn 8M/year.
Yeah these two guys, that's interesting for sure. I didn't get where they came from though, but it seems they're just shareholders of that cage fighting company ?Comment
