Seeing the results in this thread has convinced me to give it a try. I didn't really believe the study results, and still don't think they will be repeatable to quite that extent, but Medion and Knockin both have posted pics of clear results which are a step change from pretty much anything I've seen before. So I'll give it a try.

    1. 32
    2. NW5
    3. 5% minox twice a day except rolling days, 1mg fin per day, 2% keto twice a week
    4. 1.5 mm 192 needles
    5. Rolling once a week until red, minor spots of blood
    6. First rolling session just happened!

      2. Diffuse Thinner, not sure how to classify my NW.
      3. 5% liquid Minox (generic from target) twice a day, 1.25mg fin per day
      4. 1.5 mm 192 needles
      5. Rolling once a week until red with minor blood spots.
      6. 8th session will be tomorrow night.
      7. Seeing lots of diffuse hair growth in temples and around hairline nothing cosmetically significant though. Will continue with treatment.

Question: Does minoxidil alone cause a lot of vellus hair growth in the first 2 months without rolling?

          2. NW1-2 Diffuse patterned
          3. 5% Minoxidil - 1.5mg Fin (Soon DUT)
          4. 1,5 mm 192 needles
          5. once a week
          6. 8 weeks
          7. Noticing more vellus hairs on hairline and hair feels more thicker in places.

I was going to discontinue after 5-6 weeks as it made my hair look worse but the last few weeks things seem to have kicked in so I will be continuing for sure. It's worth people just hanging on at least the 12 weeks before they drop it as it's been a slow process for me.

Sorry no before and after pics.

Up to you, really. Different people are trying different things.

If you do go this hard, though, I'd recommend waiting a two week period between rolling sessions.

Really all I did was 10 rolls each area, going in one direction, vertically, horizontally, and then diagonally. Suppose I just bleed a lot. Looks a lot worse too, before I wash the blood off and clean up lol.

These photos with their heads bleeding scare people who are interested.

If anyone can, it would be interesting to post a photo soon after application (bleeding from the head) and soon after showering and cleaning the wounds, to see how it looks.

I agree with your first point. Some guys are going overboard with the bloodletting photos. IMO.

I clean up my slightly bloodied scalp immediately after weekly rolling, and once done it's not possible to see that there was any bloodshed, the scalp is just reddened a bit for the next 12-18 hours.

Again derailing the thread, but the study said "mild erythema". I think some people are taking it a bit too far.

When contacted they admitted they drew blood not mild erythema, no one knows exactly what they did but it is called wounding, and I bleed a lot more than when I started so newcomers probably wont see as much blood. when I wipe my head with alcohol after its mildly red. I then apply minox right after
