    Pilofocus

If Pilofocus can demonstrate AT LEAST 25% CONSISTENT donor regeneration... then the vast majority of us are basically (or in effect) cured...

    What do you think?

Problem is cost for me. In order to effectively cure a norwood 6 you need 8000-10,000 grafts.

If prices are $5 per graft, thats $40,000 - $50,000.

Unless Pilofocus is significantly cheaper than FUE, I need to take out a bank loan. lol

I hear what you are saying, but still pretty pricey. If I can hold on to what I have, then I will just live with my crappy hair.

Why 25% remember not all grafts take on the recipient site so if you lose 25% of your grafts you basicly don't gain any extra hairs. Better than nothing though

Donor regen transplant is the best we have for a cure. If only they can get the price down, remember how laser eye surgery started off in the thousands of dollars per eye, now you can have both eyes fixed for hundreds. Hopefully hair transplants will follow suit. There is very little equipment needed for standard fue most of the value is from the clinics skill and time. As more people master the techniques prices will come down and advances in the tech, tools and proceedures (is pilofocus) will improve yeilds and end results. Feels like we are years if not decades from this being a reality.

Is donor regeneration really becoming a reality though or is it still unproven.

Unproven. Regeneration of the partially removed follicules has been documented and if you belive the evidence, high yields of 70-80% are common. Problem is there is little evidence as to wether the grafts take in the recipient and what sort of rate these are growing at?

There was a french doctor, Dr Mousseigne. A representative for his company was showing some good results and the photos and anaylsis of the test patchs were top notch. He was ment to come back soon and post a full in depth study, but as of yet it has not happend.

According to Jotronic (H&W clinic) NW6 patients can get between 6 000-8000 grafts on average.

25-50% regeneration would mean cure but it will be pricey, around $10 per graft

Can you please post these top notch photos with the top notch results - or a link to them?

I would be surprised when you're able to do that ...

This isn't an effing price forum, this is talking about the chances of us getting a real fix very soon. I cant stand this anymore.

How much dr Wesley charges per FUE graft? Since he is located in New York I guess its no less than $10.
Pilofocus wont be any cheaper, it could be more expensive as demand will be high especially if claims are true+regeneration

10 000 grafts will cost you more than $100 000 which is ridiculous amount of of money to spend on HT.
HT should be no more than $25-30k
