    RU + Minoxidil

    Hello all,

    I am posting to ask a question regarding the use of RU 58841 and Minoxidil. I would like to begin a regiment that includes both, but I am unsure as to how someone would go about doing so.

    I have read that RU has been mixed with minoxidil and applied at the same time. Is this a legitimate strategy?

    I have also read that people prepare their own RU mixture using PG and Ethanol. I was thinking of going along that route. If I do so, should I apply RU first and then minoxidil afterward?

    Also, is RU applied once/day? If so, does minoxidil still need to be applied twice/day?

    I'd appreciate some guidance on this regiment.

          Much appreciated. Very thorough thread on RU prep and application. Hellouser, how are you going about the dermaroller? Are you suspending both minoxidil and RU application for 24 hrs after rolling? I'm also considering adding the derma roller into my regiment.

                  Hey budd, to save the trouble it is perfectly fine to throw your RU in kirkland minox ie mix them together. But if you do that, what you should be doing is having a seperate vial, putting for eg 3-5 days worth of minoxidil in it, then adding the RU. If you dump RU powder in a large supply of minox, it will precipitate over time, so it is best to make frequent mixtures/batches.

                  I'm using RU and KB, but switching to just adding my RU to minox. Its hard to say what approach is best with respect to RU whether it be KB, pg/eth, or mixing with minox. Most important thing is not getting sides IMO.

                      Dan, have you noticed any results with your regiment?

                      How long have you been keeping it up?

                      Also, am I to presume you are not getting side effects from RU?

                          Np man.

                          I used RU in KB for 3 months at 2% then upped to 5% or about a month, and still nothing. So recently i added a low dose of fin, and this week am going to start wounding once weekly, and start using minox(with RU in it). No side effects so far man.
