Hi Tom,
Were all these grafts placed in the recipient area using injection?
Can two and three hair grafts be handled using injection also or do they have to be split apart first?
Thanks!Comment

Good question stinky, tom asked me the same regards his next procedure.
In case of tom, just few grafts were placed by injection at the recipient, approx 200.
Can't say which one from the pics,as per the pics we have received from tom, as of now.
I will be presenting a doubling case with injection based implant next week.
Which hopefully would be very interesting.
Since last few days , we have been working with different type of needles and techniques.By injecting few grafts in some patients with their consent.
For triplets /quadruplets,we have to take wider needle, which is still much better than lateral slit incisions.
For hair line , we have to divide quadruplets into doubles.
Yes ,one team member has to do only filling the bisected graft into needles attached to syringes of dp cells, stemcells, ecm.
The graft is placed inside the needle with it's bottom part first, and the angle of needle has to match the desired angle at the respective part of the recipient.Comment

Do you feel like it's harder or easier to control the angle of the graft with a needle versus a slit?
Does it still scab up and does it still shed or is there even a hair attached when you inject?
Oh and if a 3D DP injection produces neogenesis then do you think you will need to similarly control the angle of the graft or will it just figure itself out?Comment

Joely,
All scabs normally fall off within 10 to15 days. But may vary from person to person, depending whether they have been kept moist and softly washed after they are safely anchored
The patient should keep the grafts moistened to avoid formation of dried crust,
Moistening, also helps to avoid falling off of the graft attached to the dry crust.
Kindly go through the result of a scientific study graft anchoring after the transplant...
Result---For the first 2 days, pulling on a hair always resulted in a lost graft. By the sixth day, pulling on a hair no longer dislodged the graft. Pulling on an adherent scab always resulted in a lost graft through day 5. At 9 days postoperatively, grafts were no longer at risk of being dislodged.
I normally advise my patients to moistened the graft and avoid crust formation, but i think tom was over cautious ,he has not been touching his graft,
ideally after 10 days, grafts are safely adhered and one should help them ease out softly and keep them moist with an antiseptic cream.
Preincisions at the recipient are made to reduce the chances of scabs and crusts..
