I think you are being a bit too optimistic.

I've seen Washenik interviewed and he always seem to 'big up' these kind of treatments. I remember seeing an interview in 2008 where he said hair cloning may be out in 2010. At the time I was quite excited, now I know he seems to have a habit of doing this. I exercise skepticism every time that guy opens his mouth.

Given this guy's record of over optimistic predictions, I reckon if he says Ji Gami won't be a miracle cure, and needs to be used in conjunction with other treatments, he probably means it.

I hope he is concealing some kind of miracle treatment but I highly doubt it.

Still, if it can work better than minox / fin it will be welcome for me!

But thats where the problem lies; its the use of words like if/but/may/perhaps/possibly etc. It's kind of a non-answer... like politicians skirting questions with answers that dont actually answer the question.

I'm optimistic and hopeful, but reality is... we'll know what the product is like when it becomes available.... if it becomes available, and it should.

Still, and again it needs to be reminded that one individual noticed 80% increase in density. That is by no means something to scoff at nor is it at all on any level the same as finasteride.

It's possible... And actually if after all this time they haven't released something, it might be a bad sign... I don't know. If both Aderans and Histogen make it to market we may have a hybrid that might give excellent results combined with a good HT. That's all we can hope for at this point.

It happens all the time, companies invest hundreds of milllions and then the projects turn into nothing. The fact that they invested a lot doesn't mean they will continue. Sometimes money is invested in unsuccessful projects and managers just have to shut the program down. It's what they teach in business school...

Yeah, I totally hear you, but it's highly doubtful that Aderans will simply just not continue or "turn into nothing". They already have "something". To what efficacy, none of us really know; all we can do is hope for the best. I just don't believe that given all of their time and effort put into Ji Gami, that they're just gonna turn out some half-ass product that's not much different from the limited options that we have today.

I highly doubt this would be the case. Since they spent so much money to bring Ji Gami to fruition, they would never recoup all the costs and make a profit simply by using Ji Gami as some kind of touch-up to these stupid hair transplants.

I am optimistic that during Phase III, they will at least try to improve the efficacy of Ji Gami so that it is much more effective at rejuvenating hair. The company has too much invested in Ji Gami to simply bring it to the market as something only slightly better today's awful hair loss treatments. And I heard that they got 80% regrowth in one person. If they could somehow duplicate those results, then that would be amazing!

Urgh. First I feel bursts of optimism, based around trying to be realistic about future treatments' limitations, then it just all plunges away and I think that fin/dut/minox is all we'll get in our lifetimes.

I don't understand why you're so upset UKboy. It was clear for a while that aderans wouldn't be the permanent and easy solution we all dream about.

You guys tend to exaggerate a lot and get your hopes up too easily, fooling yourselves into believing that there will be a perfect cure from these companies, while if you had been paying attention all this time you would know that the short term goal if all goes well is to have a hybrid system of state of the art transplants coupled with regrowth factors. This is what dr. Ziering mentioned in the interview 6 months ago and this has been repeated by washenik in his interview.

There is absolutely nothing new there with the exception of the fact that he does talk about the new texhnology quite extensively which might mean there is a good chance they will move forward with phase 3 as by the time they did the interview aderans was completing their phase 2 trials and i doubt they would talk about jigami if they were bad and they knew they wouldn't move forward.

There are years and years of research behind washenik and his team and I think this means they are on to something at least...
