Aderans hopefully soon

We haven't had any updates or hairloss breakthroughs since October last year

If there are no formal phase III announcements by June of this year, i would be inclined to think that Aderans may close the book on the cellular based therapeutics for hairloss. Based on their most recent presentation, only 4 out of 10 people even responded at all to jigami. That means for the large majority of people who take this treatment, there wont even be a chance for any regrowth at all . That's going to seriously impact their return on investment and make marketing their treatment difficult.

Perhaps they'll get a better responder rate when they look at all their phase II data. But if they don't, i'm not convinced they can justify going ahead with a costly phase III.

Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Right now, i'm betting on Histogen. But, lets see some data...feel like we've been in a data drought since replicel sh*t the bed.

Not likely, they dropped around $200 million dollars to acquire Bosley for which we can safely assume would be used to administer the stem cell based procedure. This $200 million dollar investment was recent so it would be pretty stupid of them to spend all that money when they didnt know if they had a working product or worse yet, knew they didnt have a working product.

folks ARI is supposed to dramatically improve the hair transplant techniques by providing much more (potentially limitless) donor hair.

It is not a cure in the sense of something that will beat the illness. It is just something that will allow you to virtually have a state of the art transplant making you look almost the same way.

Histogen is also not a definitive cure, it will be a much better version of Rogaine in the sense that it will stimulate growth, but it won't be a definitive cure.

Seems like if we will get any updates it will be within the next 2-4 months, so hang tight and continue to work on improving your life in other ways.

Isn't he medical director at bosley? I agree he sounds a bit less confident than I'd hope, but he may be trying to stimulate bosley's current industry. If he says it's about to be here in 2015 than no one will go to bosley until then... Just my thoughts

Way to read between the lines! Right on man. If he says too much about Aderan's theyre going to potentially lose out on a lot of money in the short run. They cant afford to cannibalize their profits with any premature statements.

We can't get the moon on the stick. Both of those will still be great steps forward.

Aderans is a FAIL! Dr. Washenik let it out there in that interview - the treatment DOES NOT MAINTAIN! He clearly said that Ji Gami will be best used in conjunction with drugs that maintain and traditionalhair transplants. This is ****ing shit but it's time to wake up guys! I said a while back that I had little hope for Aderans following the MESA presentation but I took on board what others were saying about the possibility of Aderans inoculating your follicles against DHT and tried to be optimistic. Now you have it from the horses mouth - Aderans WILL NOT maintain! It's not even as good as Fin/Dut. It like an injectable minox which you have to sacrifice 100 odd healthy follicles for! If they take this to phase III then they're arrogant b*st*rds who think that they'll just cash in on poor desperate balding b*st*rds who'll try ANYTHING to get their hair back.

Sorry, I don't see how it's an assumption. The guy said that you'd use it in conjuction with treatments that are currently available for maintaining or hopefully new treatments for maintaining would ideally be used in conjunction with Ji Gami, what's the point in that if Ji Gami works to maintain better than current treatments. Dr. Washenik already says that Ji Gami doesn't create new follicles, it only has a 60% response rate, only 40% get at least 13 hairs per sq cm and now we know it doesn't maintain so basically it's crap an all this info comes from Washenik himself, NOT speculation or assumption.
