While any hormone altering chemical could possibly cause unknown effects, I don't think weight gain is one of them with Propecia.

And no, there is nothing that can 'burn' tummy fat but plain and simple caloric deficit and muscle gain.

Weight gain is NOT a direct side effect commonly reported. If you are seeing reports on the 'net it is either a very rare case or a ride-along side effect due to the life style choices being made.

You might be on to something about the lack of DHT conversion causing a rise in E2 conversion which would lead to fatty deposits, the cause of the gyno side effect.

But the answer to your question stands. Don't believe anything anyone tells you otherwise.

Also, fat around the midsection is the hardest fat to lose AND don't mistake what appears to be fat around the midsection as just fat. Fat sits atop muscle, therefore if your musculature grows without immediate fat loss, you will appear to have gained bad weight when in fact you actually have not.
