    Nizoral 2%

Is Nizoral 2% a redish/Orange liquid? Is the thickness of this a tiny tiny bit thicker than water?

Also how many times a week should this be used for hair restoration? I know the bottles says twice a week for 4 weeks then once a week for dandruff. But for hair restoration what should be the frequency?

    Thanks.

I just bought some last week, it has a pinkish/reddish color. The consistency is a little thicker than water but still a bit runny.

I only use it once a week but I read in some documentation that studies done on Ketoconazole for the purpose of MPB had participants using it every/every other day.

can you post a link on that study?

Also where did you get your Nizoral 2%? From a U.S. Pharmacy?

The Nizoral 2% is MUCH thinner than the Nizoral 1% and makes very little suds?

      Thanks.

I use it twice a week but I just started, might scale back to once a week.

Generally from what i;ve read though once or twice a week is fine. I use it in place of Minoxidil on those days.

It is reddish orange. I apply the 2% only once a week and for purpose of hair restoration. The medicine stays in ur scalp for days so it ought to be enough.

Be careful of the things you read. Over using Ketoconazole can make hair loss worse. If you are using Nizoral 2%, once a week is enough. If you are using Nizoral 1%, you can use that up to twice a week if you want to.

You don't need to do that.

Tracy, I just started using it last week and am following the instructions on the box. It says twice a week for the first 2-4 weeks then once every 1 to 2 week thereafter. I personally plan on using it once a week starting next week. I was just commenting on what I read online however wasn't recommending anyone do use it that frequently.

@darelg, I can't seem to find the exact link I was reading at the time but I believe it was mentioned participants used it every other day.

Nizoral 2% is available OTC at any grocery store or pharmacy in Canada.
