I currently use generic 5mg proscar which I cut into quarters like everyone else, but I was wondering when they will simply put out a generic 1mg pill. Propecia's been on the market for ~16 years now -- isn't their patent up by now?
I'm hoping for the 1mg pill as I'm moving in with my girlfriend, and would hate to have an unwanted pregnancy turn into a horror story because she absorbed some finasteride remnants in our new home. Obviously it's time to start spending the big bucks on the Merck name brand, but how long will I have to do so? Anyone know?
