What's the state of the hair regrowth world?

    Hi all,

Last time I was here was probably two years ago. At that point PRP and Histogen seemed to be hot topics. There was also something about using stem cells to replicate hair molecules.

I took a quick look around. Histogen in Phase II testing? Does that mean the results have been positive?

I just wanted to ask what the overall state of the art was for hair regrowth. What's proving to be good? Have any sound numbers been released?

    Thank you.

      The state is sad

we have three hopes for the future : aderans, histogen and team tokio.

And now we have Gho's HST and the classic fue/fut.

The sad state is that every day new 'smiley' heads are being made in the world, and for some people the best science can do in 2012 is transplanting follicles from pubes, armpits, leg hair or whatever on the top of their head just to have some fuzz to cover the scalp.

We need a super hero. Can I put forward Wonder Manatee?

Her lasso of bald truth is made from the girdle of Aphrodite and seeks a hair loss cure.
Her magic tiara functions as a defence against FUT scars.

Our hero can't have all that hair on his head!

Get at least one with some mild temple recession dammit!

I think our hero needs to be inspirational. If Wonder Manatee had no hair, how could we trust in him to lead the way?

              Well, that's unfortunate.

How about anything homeopathic? What's this Saw Palmetto that people are praising?

Well....in MY opinion, trying to solve the hairloss problem by manipulating hormonal levels internally is the retarded way to go.

Be it a synthetic drug like finasteride o natural like saw palmetto, the sad reality is that one is basically doing a controlled chemical castration on himself.

That's why I am advocating the hst over old transplants. You don't have to take crap to 'stabilize' because you have theoretically illimited donor.

Unfortunately the only limit is how much money you are disposed to invest for the hair.

Acell was also a complete flop - everything has been a complete flop.

                    **** everything.

Let's be clear on homeopathy: it does not work for hair loss and it does not work for anything else either.
