I am planning to add Nizoral to my regimen. I'll provide an update if I notice any change. Hopefully, it will help the situation. It's helpful to know that I need to avoid overusing it.

I think a lot of people overwash their hair every week -- you want your natural oils to build up for a time on your scalp. It's good for you!
Yes, I was 'happy' (so to speak, if one can be happy while balding) for how my hair looked after a shampoo with nizoral.

Unfortunately it's just a temporary cosmetic effect ( I heard nizo contains embalming-like agents ) and the day after hair will probably look bad.

I actually think that the harsh agents like chloridric acid makes you lose shaft thickness.

Hmm. I'm sorry to hear that. It may be coincidental and have nothing to do with your hairloss, but for something that only anecdotally helps a tiny bit, I'd quit if I were you.

That may be my problem then. I am always running behind in the morning and don't have time to leave it on. Guess I should save it for the weekends then.

          ..Thanks...

Yeah, I totally trashed the nizoral. Surfing the internet a little shows that LOTS of people have the same problems with nizoral.

I would suggest anyone considering nizoral to consider the other forms of ketoconazole. Cream, other brands, etc.

The original Nizoral shampoo formula is awful , in my opinion.

              Avoid Revita at all costs.

Total shit too, that is. Remember my hair thinned out a bit after I used that for a while.

TBH with keto based shampoos I am cautious, I use regenpure now - but only once a week.

you're trying to turn personal experience into solid fact?

personally I have no complaints about Revita but as with any shampoo you can't expect it to be effective in any way at treating hair loss, so I understand those who think it's expensive.

I've never used the 2% version but I've never had a problem with the 1% version.

There are several studies on Nizoral and its effect on AGA. The patients used it 2-4 times a week, in a Japanese study almost every day. It had a significantly positive effect similar to 2% minoxidil.
