I don't wanna get into an argument with anyone but Sausage, you are wrong man. Boots is simply a Pharmacy, like any other pharmacy. There are pharmacists in Boots and any other pharmacies that know very little and offer incorrect information. I would way rather get my drugs from a GP who specialises. I recently had a pharmacist at boots tell me that there was no way I could get a prescription for proscar as I only wanted it for hair loss. He said no doctor would ever prescribe it. I walked into my doctors that evening and got a prescription.

You can argue with Spex all you like and as he said, you are entitled to think what you want, however you are about to waste a heap of cash. I used to spend about 400 a year on Finestride. For the past 2 years I have spent less than half of that and there is absolutely no difference. The only difference with boots and any other pharmacy is that boots is on the high street.

      I am agreement with Ukresponder.

I get my finasteride from Dr Singh and have done for ages.

But if you still have any doubts Sausage, I would suggest that you contact Dr Farjo, who is recommended on here and ask him to supply you with proscar.

I think he charges £90 for 3 months(£360 a year) or even see if Dr Feriduni can do it for you as I remember you were considering surgery with him.

Unfortunately, all the clinics appear to be doing this in the Uk, which I am not happy about as I know they make big margins on them.

      That is capitalism for you

I just want to chime in to make a point that being positive about finasteride doesn't immunize you from experiencing negative side effects. I was quite (stupidly) casual about taking it and started getting sides 2-3 months in. I went off it in January and am still waiting for everything to go back to normal.

The bottom line is it alters the chemistry of your hormonal system. You can't sugar coat that with a positive attitude.
