New Hairline Growth on Fin: 1 vs 3 months

    21 y/o male here.

I've been on minox for 2 years but it wasn't cutting it. I've been taking 0.25 mg of fin for 3 months and have been having a lot of success. I also use Revita shampoo.

This is me 1 month after starting fin. You can already see new growth along the hairline

3 months later at month 4 you can see where it's a lot thicker along the hairline where the new growth was.

At this rate I'm going to have the same hairline I did when I was 14. How long do you think it'll take for my results to reach their maximum?

If I have them I can't tell. Maybe I do feel a little bit less horny, not sure.

could you explain this less horny comment. Would you be able to recall your ejaculation frequency over the period of this time? How many times? How far apart? Has your urine flow changed at all?

I haven't noticed any physical effects, but I guess I seem less interested in masturbating and think less about sex in general. But not really in any significant way.

Nice, its really filling in. So do you cut a 1mg pill into 4 and take 0.25mg daily?

Would you say your frquency of ejaculations has decreased if so could you recall how much? Like for instance have you been doing it once a week? more or less? how about prior to propecia what was your frequency like.

Yeah, according to what I read .25 is 80% as effective as 1 mg and 66% as 5mg.

Every night. Just a little bit and I focus on thinning areas. It dries my hair out so I use a good conditioner.

'Fin' is Finasteride, the name of the drug marketed by the original creator (Merck) as 'Proscar', a 5mg tablet for the treatment of enlarged prostate glands in men. After the drug was found to be beneficial for men with hairloss (and after clinical trials for that purpose) they began manufacturing it under the name 'Propecia' at the lower dose of 1mg.

It usually works out cheaper to buy it in 5mg Proscar form and cut it into quarters.

Now you know this, I recommend searching the forum for further information before starting it as there is a lot you need to be aware of.
