Finasteride results

I am 24 years old, I noticed thinning about 3-4 months ago, I'm worried about my thinning hair. I have read many great results taking finasteride, propecia. After doing some searching and weighing out the side effects, I figured I'd give it a shot. One month in I have noticed my hair has gotten much thinner. This is quite contrary to the great reviews of read about this drug. I look through the forum and I am seeing the same results from a lot of people. Why is this happening??

I would like to clarify my situation. I've always had thick long hair.

I've noticed my crown is a little exposed, but not a lot. My temples have some receding, but barely noticeable. However my thinning is diffuse all over the scalp. It's like the hairs are farther apart.

According to my knowledge, Propecia has an initial shed, which unfortunately isn't common amongst everyone but is a possiblity for you. Just wait it out and re-evaluate your situation in a couple of months
