Can I quit Propecia cold turkey?

I noticed in the first weeks that my erections were getting weaker but kept on it after reading through forums and seeing that the side effects went away for some people.

However, yesterday I couldn't get an erection AT ALL and my dick feels pretty much dead.

I'm only 22 and am already depressed so the thought of never getting hard again is really increasing my suicidal thoughts.

I started taking it 9 weeks ago on August 14th so just under 2 months and I'm wondering since I haven't been taking it for that long can I just stop now instead of tapering off? I really don't want to take this drug anymore.

Also can I immediately start using Nizoral shampoo & Rogaine or should I wait until I've been off Propecia for a while?

There's no reason why you can't start the other treatments immediately.

I'm open to hearing about the experiences others might have had, but I don't see any problem with stopping Finasteride 'cold turkey'. I don't see any benefits of tapering off.

I incurred these side effects at the age of 19, and I quit "cold turkey". The only sides I experienced were positive ones from quitting.

Hope this works out for you.

        Good luck.

Just thought I'd give an update for anyone suffering side effects that everything went back to normal for me about 2 weeks after I stopped.

Really hoping Nizoral & Minoxidil work for me now.
