    switchin from avodart to prophecia

    im currently takin avodart right now and plannin on having a hair transplant next year..and then switchin to prophecia after the hair transplant. my question is, will shedding occur again and will i lose all the hair i gained from avodart?

    I wouldn't go with Prophecia but you can try Propecia if you'd like. lol.

        You spelled it wrong, he was making a joke.


        No one can really give you any advice here I think. Avodart is a stronger DHT inhibitor than propecia...I don't know why you are switching. I think if something is working then you should stick to it.

            Its such a persoanl thing. Unlikely you will experience a massive shed - It all depends how much DUT is helping you and how strong/agressive DHT is in you.

            The only thing you can do is try it to find out.

            Maybe gradually come off DUT whilst overlapping Propecia into your system, alternate days for example.

              is it safe to take avodart for the rest of ur life?

              no one on this forum has switched from avodart to propecia ever? im just worried that ill lose all the hair i gained from avodart when i start using propecia. cuz i just want propecia to maintain the hair i have and then proceed with a transplant
