Did you guys ever stop sheedding hair after using rogaine/minoxidil for years?

Been using Rogaine for years now, but I just can't stop noticing shedding hairs? Is this normal? I ALWAYS shed especially when applying in the morning right before my 2nd application.

My hair is around 0,6 - 0,75 inches long or 1,5-2cm.

I Loose around 70-120 hairs every day (some days less, and some days more).

Is this normal or is the rogaine loosing it's effectiveness?

Tbh, this seems to be in the normal range of daily hair fall, so I wouldn't be too concerned. I notice the hair fall much more on myself when I use a hair product that keeps them from falling throughout the day and then don't wash my hair for a couple days. Then when I do wash it I have tons of hair fall, which would be alarming if I didn't know that it's completely normal and not an indication of further hair loss.

Hmm you may be right... A lot of teh hairs are thin some are thick I don't understand what's going un :/ I never had long hair. I always let it Growth to a medium length but it seems like i tend to shed more than if i had buzzed it Down... I don't remeber shedding this much when my hair was shorter...

Having longer hair generally lends itself to having more noticeable shedding (longer hairs are easier to see, etc) and the number you give seems normal but a 'normal' amount of shedding can vary pretty drastically from person to person. As long as you can't see a difference in density visually or feel one when you run your fingers through your hair, I don't think it's a reason to worry. However if you are still concerned you can always make an appointment with a specialist who can measure your hair density and tell you if it seems lower than normal.

Well I just counted this morning 206 hairs. All from shampooing+combing and massaging rogaine into the scalp.

I really think the rogaine is starting to loose its effectiveness

NO matter what we need to stick to the treatment. Its happening to me at the moment. I am shedding like crazy after amazing regrowth but still slightly better than baseline
