Is Cold Water beneficial For Stopping Hairloss?

I heard that cold or ice can help in the fight against hairloss.
Is there any merit to this claim? I know it is not likely to be much but since we shower everyday (I hope) am I wasting my time standing under the cold???

    Could it even be detrimental?

    What do you think?

    Well Mr. nerve....

Male pattern baldness aka ANDROgenetic alopecia is caused by ANDROGENS

Ask yourself: Can these cold water showers decrease these androgens and help hair grow again?

Cold showers lower sebum build up in the scalp which improves overall scalp health. So yes, in a way, you are likely to lose less hair in the shower using cold water.

Will it stop your hair falling out or stop DHT attacking your hair? No. No it won't.

Ice is used for patients undergoing chemotherapy, since it reduces blood-flow to the scalp, and therefore reduce the amount of the chemo reaching the hair follicles. And... only used when patients are NOT being treated for cancers in the head.

I thought it was because heat or hot water opens pores that it leads to more hair loss (?), or at least that's what my parents used to tell me. Prob got it totally wrong lol

Cold temps also signal the body to create brown fat. This fat is brown because it is filled with blood vessels. More brown fat in the scalp, more blood flow for follicles.

Did they also tell you that masturbating would make you go blind?

Are you drawing conclusions, or do you have some proof to back this up?

I have read of people using ice on their scalp as part of their regime.

I don`t know if it is a common thing.

Ya I keep records of everything I read so when someone too lazy to do a simple google search asks me for proof, I'm at their becking call. Hang tight while I look through my archives.
