    New to forum...rogaine question

I have read many post on here and have not heard of anyone saying that Rogaine really works....does it?

I started the Foam about 3 weeks ago and have some shedding going on but like everyone scared that it will not stop and/or regrow.

    Any help would be apprciated.

    PS... I am 32.

Rogaine does work for some people and the shed should eventually stop. It happens to most people when they first start it.

            Rogaine works.

If you use the forum search feature for "minoxidil" or "rogaine" you will find plenty of very informative posts to read.

Rogaine foam definitely works. But it is not as effective as the liquid. I suggest using the liquid instead. Don't give up on a treatment unless you have tried it for 6 months! not 1 month! What if a hair that is in the catagen or telogen phase? The telogen phase can last up to 4 months!

Just be patient. Rogaine will ultimately cause more hair to be in the anagen(growing phase). But 1 month is not enough to judge it's effectiveness.

            Shedding is a good sign.

Are you ONLY using rogaine? There is no cure for hair loss and to fight the battle effectively you have to use more than just one treatment. Have you tried propecia(finasteride) or nizoral shampoo?

I was using noxin for a bit before I started the rogaine. Should I use that in combination? A bit scared of taking a pill...

Many are not on here every day you should try a query using the “search” function above.
I have used it for the last year and a half and feel I have had good results with it in maintaining my hair and possibly some slight re-growth, thickening for sure. I use Rogaine extra strength foam, started twice daily for six months and now use once daily before bed. Wish I had started using it years ago... I would recommend it to anyone experiencing hair loss.
