Penetration enhancers

Do you guys know a safe penetration enhancer for skin that I can mix with my own medicine ? let's say I have some experimental stuff I wanna put on my skin scalp, but I want it to penetrate. Those things they put in medicines so the medicine can penetrate layers of skin.
