    Why do a lot of people regret starting with Minoxidil?

    Hi, I'm a 21 years old guy who is struggling to decide if I should start with minoxidil or not?
    I started losing hair about 5 years ago and I'm already using keto shampoo, biotin an saw palmetto pills

    I would really like to try minoxidil but I'm afraid because I read so much negative comments about the stuff... So why do people stop taking it? And why do they regret starting?
    Note that I would only use it once a day at night to prevent side effects etc.

    Thank you for your help and time

    The percent of people that complain must be too low to even matter. But I would assume that it's because some people experience increased shed when using it at first. But this shed is good, it's part of the regrowth process, and the process of thickening.

      Thanks for your answer! So you think that i should just start and make sure I make it through the shed and after that stop caring about it and keeping using it?

        Its worth trying, but it can be a pain in the butt IMO to use especially adding onto the routine of all the other stuff you have to do. IMO I can see why merk went with oral fin over topical just the ease of use even though plenty of people now might argue its not worth the dangers of going internal.

          I use it once a day and takes about 2 minutes to apply. Couldnt be easier, and very effective!!

            @burtandernie I plan to use only at night especially for that reason and I think that using it only once a day will also prevent side effects. Personally, I would never use something like fin, it affects the body in such a negative way that I prefer going bald

            @mark8 now that motivates me even more how long have you been on minox?

            Thanks for your answers!

              Yeah definitely use it. It stopped my hair loss by itself. I now use the big 3 but minoxidil did a solid job by itself before I got fin and nizoral.

                I also got one more question, can you still get a hair transplant etc when you use minoxidil? I bet you heard about replicel ( if not go make some research because it looks promising) , do you think minoxidil could interfer with these methods?

                  Not at all, these treatments and surgeries are supposed to mix in well with minoxidil

                    since october.
                    im 100% happy with it. fwiw i use the liquid, and apply it by simply rubbing the end of the dropper onto the scalp in the right areas. it comes out by itself. super easy and its only necessary to do once a day.
                    btw are you in saitama? i know it well (;

                          It's because it's a pain to apply everyday and wait for it to dry. Plus my scalp gets that white residue from the propylene glycol that looks like really bad dandruff.
