Dermatch - What's the big deal?

Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on Dermatch. I just got my first disc of it and tried it out. Honestly I don't see the big deal for a product that has such rave reviews all over. For the hairline area at least, it doesn't look all that natural. It looks like I have a my poof of actual hair in the middle and then my temples simply look, well, painted.

On top of all of that, I thought Toppik was a little bad with how I got some on my fingers if i scratch my temple. With this stuff my entire finger was black after I put it up there for a test.

i suppose Dermatch is really best for diffuse thinning and not the hairline area? What are everyone else's experience with it?

I have DermMatch, but have only used it a handful of times. I think it's one of those things where you need to learn how to use it effectively. In the few times that I've used it, sometimes I thought it looked great, others not so much. And I think that's because I don't use it enough to have learned how to use it properly.
