    Is Rogaine a dht blocker??

I just received my rogaine, and I've been reading on the net about sideeffects and all that, and apparently it is a dht blocker? that really scares me, could you have impotence? I'm 33 right now. It also talked about aging in the face? God, what a nightmare hairloss is.

No, it is not. Propecia is a DHT blocker.
Rogaine has minimal sides, Propecia causes impotence not Rogaine

Thanks, I just had read it on an article online and thought it was weird. Is there anything that works better? The info on the package says it won't even work for hair loss in the front of your head.

The only thing that will work better is finasteride, but it has side effects that a lot of people dont want to deal with.
Rogaine may work in the front of your head. If its an area with at least a slight amount of hair left, theres a chance.
I use Rogaine and its been very effective for me, in a short time.

I still have a little hair all over but it's little.

I hate to say it but it sounds to me that finasteride (propecia) will be much more effective for you. And if you use both at the same time it could be very effective. A lot of people do take finasteride with minimal sides, the majority. Maybe it would be worth consulting with a good dermatologist about.

I don't know, is it really worth it? I googled the results for Rogaine, and it's not very impressive, I also started to get some headaches?? Not actual headaches but like a tightness around my head.

I'm also getting a twitching in my left eye when I wear it, and maybe I am paranoid but I haven't woken up with an erection or had any erection since I began, just rather weak ones.

Could rogaine be making me impotent?? I'm 33 and I honestly haven't had an erection in at least two days. Not only that but like zero activity down there, not even a tingling. I think I've been using it for almost a week, I was sick with the flu up until yesterday but I've never noticed any change in my genitals during the flu, like ever, and I usually wake up with an erection like most guys and get one when I'm waiting to go to sleep, I haven't had anything in at least two days, possibly more. The first day I was on rogaine I had erections but they were weak.

This is a true nightmare, it's like that episode of arrested development were that guy gets a hair transplant and his whole body goes to hell.

The current state of treatments is pretty grim. Your best hope is just keeping the hair you have right now, and you really need propecia for any chance at that IMO. rogaine is a growth stimulant and not an amazing one at that evident by the large amount of men with MPB still. Its not like you take rogaine and wake up NW 1 like homer on the simpsons its more like barely cosmetically significant amounts nothing all that impressive in most cases. It doesnt really stop MPB or alter its course it just helps grow new hairs.
I had an uncle that had major MPB and he went rogaine. Bald as a button today at first he grew a bunch of new hair, then 6 months later way more bald then before. It didnt stop MPB at all just grew new hair but still lost it all.
Anything is possible, but its certainly very rare for rogaine to cause impotence. No one even knows how rogaine works so anything can happen

Minoxidil cannot overcome the effects of the hormone. By thickening your existing hair, minoxidil delays the shrinking process of hair loss.
