Finasteride half life

I have read that fin has 8 hours half life. Does it mean that if I cut proscar for 4 pieces the second piece will have 0.15 (1.25/2^3) mg fin in it?
If that is true 3rd and 4th pieces are totally useless.

With half life is meant the half life of finasteride when it's in your blood, not when it's exposed to air or whatever (I guess that's what you meant).

Yes, Illusion is right. Half-life refers to the period of the drug elimination from the blood stream.

I usually pre-cut about 10 pills and put them in a prescription bottle, that's 40 days worth and they seem to be fine. The sizes are all different and that doesn't seem to matter either.
