Hi I was reading how copper peptides help turn vellus hairs terminal. Is that true and if so, where can I get the best copper peptide supplements/hair treatments? Thanks!
Do copper peptides help?

Dr. Loren Pickart, PhD invented copper peptides and has some interesting independent published studies referenced in the following links - It's worth taking a look at:
There's even more info at: www.skinbiology.com OR www.folligen.com -
I would say to research copper peptides yourself - Remember, Dr. Rashid is performing hair transplants (that's the solution transplant surgeons will principally promote).

Effect of copper on hair:
The tripeptide-copper complex, described as a growth factor for various kinds of differentiated cells, stimulates the proliferation of dermal fibroblasts and elevates the production of vascular endothelial growth factor, but decreased the secretion of transforming growth factor-beta1 by dermal fibro …
Tissue remodeling follows the initial phase of wound healing and stops inflammatory and scar-forming processes, then restores the normal tissue morphology. The human peptide Gly-(L-His)-(L-Lys) or GHK, has a copper 2+ (Cu(2+)) affinity similar to the copper transport site on albumin and forms GHK-Cu …
Hair loss and thinning can be contributed to a number of factors. We all agree that there's no one solution, "quick-fix", quick-growth serum...
But copper peptides are definitely NOT a "gimmick/snakeoil" - There is way too much science behind their efficacy.
No one thing will work for everyone, but always go with what is supported by true, independent science from multiple, reputable sources.Comment

I'm Fin/Dut and I have been on DHT blockers for over 2 years. But it seems when I added copper peptides (tricomin/foligen) I have had an increase in shedding. I was curious at which one was better so I use both , one on one half of had and the other on the other half.
First month after I started I only had one day of bad shedding, but the following 3 months I've had nearly a constant bad shed.
I figured after 3 months it would have subsided but it seems it hasn't.
Before I started I was at 50-100 hairs and shedding a 100 was very rare. But after I started I'm lucky if it's under 100 day.
I stopped 1 day ago, so we'll see if that stops the sheds. Lots of the hairs have white ends so I'm thinking it's a TE/AE shed. But who knows.Comment

I've been on Fin for 2 years but I recently aadded Copper peptides (tricomin/foligen). First month I used only tricomin and the following because I was unsure what was better I used foligen on one side and tricomin on the other.
The first full month only had 1 day of a bad shed. Then the following 3 months the sheds continued ranging on average of 100-200 , with 150 being the mean. I stuck it out for 3 months because I believed that after the 3rd the hair cycles would reset. But it obviously didn't in the 4th month so I decided to stop 2 days ago.
My normal shed before adding copper peptides was 30-80 per day. It's easy for me to count because my hair is curly wavy and about a foot long. So hairs don't just fall out that easily.
My shed on copper peptides is what I believe is defined as TE/AE, as all hairs I look at have white ends.
So we'll see if this shed stops in a week or so. Might take longer, but who knows. Maybe I just had a bad reaction or Foligen is more dangerous. But to note, but sides were shedding. So it could of been a systematic absorption of copper or something. But I don't know beyond what I can observe.Comment

sorry about the double post, forgot I responded to this thread because of the moderator approval delay.
anyways, the shed continued for 3 days but slowly decreased. Now on the 4th and 5th day ( today) shed has dropped back to my normal 40-50 a day. Too early to tell if the shed is over, but I never had that low of a shed during using copper peptides during the 3 months of shedding.
So I'm thinking it may have been some sort of chemical harshness that caused the shed. Like the burning mostly subsided after the first month and a half, so I dunno. All I know is I removed a stresser and hair shedding subsided(so far). so at the moment it seems that copper peptides don't work for everyone.Comment

I tried cooper peptides ( Folligain hair therapy cream and signal).
It improve health quality but i don't regrowth hair....
So, to be honest, it's expansive for the results...
I really think Dr Pickard should work in order to create a enhancer formulation with cooperPeptides, Pgd2 inhibitors, Dht Inhibitors, and grow factors.Comment
